My 22 shoots 1/2" groups at 50 yards/meters all day! Really? Prove it!

I'm so close! I know I can do it, previously shot this 10-shot group with RWS Club but the next box of it I bought must be a different batch as I could not match the performance! Stocked up on 8 different kinds of premium target ammo so the next nice day we get I'm out there to see if something works for me. On my attempt I had just put on a Leupold VX-1 3-9x scope and at the end of the day realized it has a massive parallax issue, I could spin the cross hair in about a one inch circle around the bullseye just slightly moving my eye around the scope, not too helpful in shooting tight groups! So much for a nice silver scope on my stainless barrel :( I'll be putting the Bushnell 6-18x with adjustable parallax back on and the leupold can go onto my remington 597.

And I'm hoping that was the last time that I have to use that "bench" setup. My new bench that PGWSteve built for me is almost done. I just have to stain/waterproof it

My proper base is not in yet so I'm just making do for now which is why only 1 ring. I don't recommend this because it's flimsy at best. Fortunatly for me my "range" is only 100' from my back door.

Are you doing anything to keep your ammo warm in the cold or just letting it cool down to ambient temp?

I keep mine at the bottom of the bench, near the heater. It is unreal how much temperature affects velocity in .22 rounds. CCI SV from the same box hit over 4" lower when it was cold (-5C), others a little less but still really noticeable.

Thanks Under......also thanks for doing the work on this thread......that's every target 22 that I own so I'm done unless someone has a 40x, 52, 54, 541 that they want to part with lol.......

I have a 52c that I will be doing the challenge with soon. It will be the third 52c I completed the challenge with. I love my 52s, 4 of them and looking for more.
