My 22 shoots 1/2" groups at 50 yards/meters all day! Really? Prove it!

Underthegun, I will remove this post if you wish.

An observation about group sizes. When there are two bullet holes that are so wide apart that another bullet hole can be put between them and have paper showing between the three bullet holes, the group size must be greater than .440 (assuming a bullet size of .22 inches).

This group must be a minium of .440". Any space between the holes makes it even larger.

On questionable attempts I hold off on posting it as a successful attempt to see if the person gets questioned on their measurements. If nobody comments or objects I acknowledge it as successful. Having said that I feel if it is at least “close” you can cut the guy some slack. If it’s obviously a gross mis-measurement that’s a different story.

I added you to the successful list. I believe it’s the first Ruger American.

I've been wanting to make an entry into this challenge and I finally have :)

I actually did the challenge twice, but the first set was on a cut target and I don't have a before target. Nevertheless, I'm very happy with these groups, and I've really improved as a shooter since getting this 22.

ammo was Lapua Midas+ and X-Act.

Great shooting Gobc. I added you to the successful list.

Nice! I might have to get me one of these IBI barrels. For more accurate measurements, those splash targets aren't very good. For once, though, I think your groups are actually smaller than you've stated. Your 0.1s could possibly be in the 0.0xs, your 0.29 sub 1/4", and your 0.4s 0.3s.

Great shooting Gobc. It looks like that IBI barrel wants to shoot! Always nice to see
shooters get excited once they have a firearm that will shoot.

I have never lost my passion for accurate shooting rifles. Love the rimfires that
truly perform. Dave.

If you fold the paper from behind the target that folds over when the bullet passes through the target, you'll noticed that the bullets diameter starts from where the splash target turns white. I think people usually start the group measurement a little into the white portion, instead of the outside like try to do. Regardless, I just want to be as honest as possible in this challenge. Thanks for the kind complements.

These little 22 trainer rifles are awesome. They're so good at helping you improve your shooting skills.

I'm also really pleased with the IBI barrel, espessially when you get group holes that look like one little hole.

Nice day for a range day small wind and a bit chill. After 3 session at the range with the 54.30 I wasn't shooting as per I expect, I do check the torque on the action and was way to low. rifle was transform this morning. and I was smiling again.
