there's two other differences........the mag release button is reversible, not so on any other CZ including the supposedley ambidextrous 85 Combat....there are other factory options available that are still Production div. legal solely for the SPO1 such as fiber optic front sight.....I liked my first so much I bought a second.......

Thanks! I noticed that the one I saw in a gunshop last week seemed to have a "regular" mag inserted...a metal baseplate, no rubber bumper pad.
Those big fat rubber bumper pads on the factory SP01 mags would be nice for PD, mind you....I should ask Vince if that'd be PD legal...
Naw...he'd probably rip my arm off and hit me over the head with the soggy end..

The factory SP01 mags do not have a thick basepad, it only looks that way from the front. The steel body of the mag is actually that long and the base pad is thin on the base. Mags have been in short supply in the states until recently, and cost $40-$45 US. I'll try to find time to take a picture and post.

I had the opportunity to handle one today..wow, a lot heavier than I thought...all controls were very "tight", which is probably a good thing...the gun did feel a bit small for me though

Mine shoots equally well with all sorts of ammo. Right now its eating it's way through a case of IVI military ball. My personal perference in 9mm is the light stuff.

Finally got my SP01 back from TSE sending it out for a repair. Looks like they sent it to iraq - a little worse for wear than the 41 total rounds that I through it

Still a nice pistol that is much better fit and finish than my 75B.

No regrets, love the way it shoots. Handle some CZ's before you buy. Its the only way to tell if the gun is "right" for you.
