my CZ SP-01 Shadow broke today :(

I broke my slide-stop just before Christmas, a little over a year on the pistol and 10,245 rounds through it. On 10,246 it broke. Still have to get that taken care of... time to call up that Grech Outdoors and see if they'll send me a new one. I too don't want to have to send my entire pistol in just for a pop-in part.

You are advised to have two slide stops. One for practice, and then a new one you swap in for competition so that you don't have this inconvenient 'wear issue' at a critical time.

The Shadow slidestops are a different design in the paddle area, but pretty much any 75 slidestop will fit. I run Rami slidestops in my Shadows.
It is also not an "issue" it's part of the design that they will break before a barrel link will.
Carry spares, and invest in some shockbuffs, they also reduce the breakages.

where do you buy shockbuffs?

how do you keep such precise count?

I notice some slide stops appear/are longer and would be easier to engage with thumb, don't know whether the pictures I saw were replacements or came with the CZ version?

Where to order for the best price? I suppose an extractor as well.

its a sad day.....

so im at the range today with my Shadow as usual and suddenly the slide looked like it didnt cycle properly. i thought it was a squib so i decided to check the bore and noticed i couldnt rack the slide like normal so i decided to do a quick field strip and thats when i noticed that my slide lock is broken. has anyone ever had this happen to them?

i really hope that i dont have to send in the entire pistol just for warranty on this little part.

Don't be sad that the slide stop broke. Be proud of the fact that you put enough rounds down range to deserve a new slide stop.

i have big hands so went with a flush mount slide stop on my CZ. The slide would never lock back as I was accidentally holding the slide stop down due to my bear mitt grip. Now the stock one is my spare.

Guess i know what I will be ordering before my Black badge course later this year. Slide stops (2) and springs......

Shadow Line version slide stops have a shorter paddle, and I find it eliminates the problem of my thumb preventing a slide lock. On the other hand, it also makes it so that I can't drop the slide from a normal strong hand grip with my strong thumb, so I have to bump the mag in hard or use my weak thumb.

Thanks Adamg! Some of the pictures on the web show a longer slide stop on the Shadowline and its pricier versions. So perhaps the latter come with longer slides or owners chose to change, but I find the short a bit strange since I cannot engage it with one hand.
