my CZ SP-01 Shadow broke today :(

Thanks Slavex .
I guess I will get the Shadow 2 instead. It is funny that this part is "consumable" to an extent that spare needs to be brought to matches.

The shockbuffs do a ton to help stop them breaking at lower round counts and the newer generation of stops last a lot longer. For 90% of shooters they will never shoot enough to ever worry about it. For the higher volume shooters the cost of a slidestop is pretty meaningless compared to the ammo costs, even if they reload. I'd rather be replacing slidestops than barrels or frames like people with other brands do.
As for Rich's suggestion of the Sphinx, they are nice guns at 3 times the cost and they do break, google the frame screws breaking. Which sure, they say they've fixed..... and honestly, I still prefer the Shadow, much better controls, for me.

do you know where i can find the shock buffers in canada? preferably a site sponsor.

slide lock? ...hmmm, that is the weak point for the TS and shadow. in fact they send 3 of them in the TS package because they know lol.....no biggie , it is a couple dollars part. as long as you can find them locally so you don't have to wait a year to get one fromCZC lol...

My thoughts exactly!

I usually replace slidestop at around 12k round count, run the new one for a while, then keep it for matches (mostly). The replaced (old) one gets used too, for training and casual shooting.
