My Fabarm is in (PICS!)

You might be able to buy the spring from TSE.... it just goes on over the mag tube when you reassemble.

Question: what is this "spring" that is being referred to?
Is it a feature that aids in sliding the foregrip to chamber a round with a press of a button? If so, do you have to press this button everytime to rack a round, or can you simply "pump" the slide like normal? (Have I got my facts all messed up?)
As you can see I don't know much about Fabarm SG's and the "magic button".

Thanks,

There's no magic button. The spring is compressed when you work the action towards the rear, and then "helps you" take the slide forward again as the spring releases tension.

So the "pump" action is not affected other than being assisted by the spring
ie. it will pump as fast as I can manage as per conventional "pump action" SG's?

Nine,
Looking at your lastest pic (loading port), am I assuming correctly that you cannot load a shell via the bottom port when you have the slide racked back(towards the trigger)?

New Question:
What is with the hole in the stock? is there anything connected to it or can you mount some kind of swivel here?

Protect that finish

I've seen many a Fabarm pic (2!) with tape of some sort on the receiver. I assumed that this was to protect the finish from the extended forend. (and I was right) You can see were this could potentially be a cosmetic problem at some point somewhere down the road, and THE reason I will be getting a short forend. SO, I knew exactly what I would do to give some added protection, and it turned out better than I had hoped. :D

Aluminum foil tape. :D $6.84/roll @ walmart. Also adds some BLING! :D  :p

Nine, I like the extra "bling"!
I still like the looks of the longer slide vs the shorter.
My $0.02 worth;)
