My Fabarm is in (PICS!)

Very nice!
How light is it? (plop it on a bathroom scale and give a rough number :))

That's the one shotgun I keep thinking would be "the pump" to get because it looks so light.

Sweet ~~

Roughly 5lbs. I just used a bathroom scale, tried different angles, laying it at different points, usually 5lbs or a tad under.

Hint -

Step 1: you get on the scale holding the shotgun - record weight.
Step 2: you get on the scale without the shotgun - record weight.
Step 3: Subtract weight recorded in Step 2 from step 1 - the result is the weight of the shotgun.

Rob :p ;)

I have a cheapy digital scale for such things ;)

FWIW, Mossberg 590 14" w/bead sight and speedfeed stock is 6.5 lbs.

I looked at them in Royal Sportsman, liked the way they rack, although I wouldn't get the pistol grip version as it's painful to fire 3" mag slugs with them.

Please describe the way it racks. Would like to hear some more comments, especially re the 'spring assist'. Thx.

yeah those were cool like a year ago ;)

nice pics :)

G22, there is a spring in the pump so that when you let it go it shoots forward by itself...

A true gunnut would never have to ask why a person would need a gun...

I am just wondering because isn't it restricted so you can only shoot at a range? I mean I am glad he got the gun but I am asking what kind of use he will get out of it.

nope..non-restricted (being a pump action)

My Mossy 590a1 is a tank too...I just sold the Tikka Tactical so I might need to buy me a little shotty... I love the spring assist on the FABARMs

I'd love one of the SAT 8's, but it's only available with like a 21" barrel, which is like 9" too many.

Now, if I could only find an 1187 w/ a 14" barrel, I could finally be happy.

The racking is smooth and not 'clanky" like my 500, I tried the spring assist also, it only comes in some models if I remember correctly.
