My First and ONLY Rifle -- Pictures Page 1/20/25 -- Range Review Page 28 --

What??

....stamp...?

What are you talking about?...what STAMP?

Is the rifle in your possession?....go shoot it!

I cannot send in the RCMP form until my tests have been stamped and sent back...

Thanks,
- Koshy

You dont need to take any stamped papers with you?
Is this some silly Ontario law? :p

As far as I was told, after taking your PAL NR and R tests they are sent off to Orillia at which point they are looked at by RCMP and stamped... they are then sent to you... at which point on your PAL you include them... and then they are sent off to Mirimichi (this part is much quicker) at which point you are interviewed and so are your references.

That is how it works, as I understand it...

Thanks,
- Koshy

Yea when I first looked at it, it was rough going, trying to let it all sink in, handling it like a new born child, etc :p

The scope is still kind of up in the air, due to the fact that I need two scopes, one for 20 - 50 meters and one for outdoor ranges at 100+ meters. IF possible I want to have same eye level with both, but that is easier said then accomplished. If you would like to try and help please visit this link:

I will not be purchasing the PR until I figure out the other, but the plan is to have it before the new year or right after :)
you can get quick release bases and rings for both scopes that you choose, they make different height ones which could get your eye level concerns close or even perfect. This would also allow a quick scope change without any scope adjustments.

Thanks for the input, that was the plan but I have opted to just use my rifle for 50+ yards :p

If I am looking for quick release it would have to be LaRue and have a buddy send them to me from from the States...

But I have decided on a more permanent solution which would have to be NEAR.

where did you buy your rifle from? are they a stocking dealer?, or was it ordered in? I'm looking for someone who has a scout in stock and some parts as well

Thats lame, they are taking forever!

34 mm LOW 30 MOA Alphamount.

Thanks,
- Koshy

I know... S&B just opened up shop from the holidays and only just got the scope. I'll be waiting for about a month or two probably... and I still haven't found my pet load, and I've got some test loads already done, so I can't even reload. I'VE BEEN DISARMED!

Why the low model? You sure there's enough clearance for the objective end of the scope? Don't forget that you'll probably be putting on a Butler Creek lens cap, which adds a bit to the diameter...

How did you get this sweet rifle with no pal?

I asked this in my head several times. ;)

Had a friend put it in their name and it will transfer to me once my PAL goes through.

Where abouts do you live?

!!!!!!!! They taking wayyy to long not fair  Sorry to hear that =/

Well from what Richard says yes, the low model will be just fine for mine, since it is the 3-15x50 model. Also remember is an ALPHAMOUNT, not rings so it is a little "higher" then low rings. I chose low because it will just have a nicer flow about the rifle then the high mount would. As you would know I can get a strong cheek weld at basically any height ^^

The scope comes with manipulating flip up lens caps attached, no need to buy some :)
