Magnetospeed V3, I picked it cause I felt the projectile moving over the sensor was better as well its attaches to my rifle. What chronograph did you buy and why did you choose it?

I DON'T LIKE the crimping style of rcbs or redding style dies - One thing that LEE makes Good is a FACTORY CRIMP die - I use these !So should I readjust my seat guy so that I apply a crimp? Right now I backed it off about a half a turn.

Awsome thank you. Another member has stated the same thing. The only rifle rounds I crimp are for a tube fed 30-30. The rest I use neck tension only.
well I did use that if you look up about 3-4 posts up, there is an attachment that i posted with the info from the Gordon Reloading Tool. When I looked at it, as I compare the velocity to the pressure, I thought that if the pressure is around 52,000psi and my max is 62,500 PSI and my velocity was just over 2800fps I didn't think anything was or is an issue, so I posted it here, waiting for people to take a peek, but no one has yet given their 2 cents.May i suggest you to load Gordon Reloading Tool or GRT on internet.
This program let you play with différent powder and bullets and see with your own eyes the graph of pressure and burn rate of selected powder.
This program has been 3 years in the making and data collecte by reloader..
Every thing that has been discuss on here, you will look up yourself.
Sometimes, wisdom is offer to us and we refuse to listen because we think we know better.
I expect anyone who looks at your GRT data would see no need to comment. Is there something in there you need clarified?well I did use that if you look up about 3-4 posts up, there is an attachment that i posted with the info from the Gordon Reloading Tool. I just want to make sure I am reading it right and not missing anything important.I expect anyone who looks at your GRT data would see no need to comment. Is there something in there you need clarified?
My point is, Staball hd is out of OPTIMUM for 180g..I just want to make sure I am reading it right and not missing anything important.
the GRT that i upload has Vihtavuori N565 not the Staball HD. the Staball HD is for my HornadyMy point is, Staball hd is out of OPTIMUM for 180g..
The burn rate is WAY to slow for the bullet you are using.
What is good with GRT is, you can change the powder and compare the load ratio vs pressure.
I'm not gonna give a RECEPIE all made up here because every gun has is own identity
Have you explore with Ramshot Magnum or IMR 7828??
I opened your link and dont you se anything wrong with your grain weight and pressure relation???the GRT that i upload has Vihtavuori N565 not the Staball HD. the Staball HD is for my Hornady
umm i'm not sure what you are asking.I opened your link and dont you se anything wrong with your grain weight and pressure relation???
At 75grain, you are at 91% cane fill with your bullet COL..umm i'm not sure what you are asking.
Sounds to me your chasing ultimate accuracy. My handloads shoot sub moa all day long as long as i do my part on the trigger i dont use all that fancy crap my press is a single stage lee for rifle think it cost me 79 bucks new and a set of lee factory dies with factory crimp die in each of the calibres dont cheap out on scales and reloading manualsI remember reading a post here on this thread as someone saying that I didn't mention my resizing data. so here it is
I did resize using the following die set.
I used the Hornady Match Grade .300 Winchester Magnum die set and resized the cases with a .332 collet insert. I arrived at this choice based on the sizing instructions from the Hornady website; I calculated the difference and determined this was the appropriate insert.
Once I finished that, I used the Belted Magnum Collet Resizing Die to resize the bottom of the casing just above the belt. This step was necessary because none of my casings would fit into the chamber before resizing. After using this die, I was able to fill my magazine and run all five rounds without any issues. I could even load the empty prepped casing and, with my fingers, remove the magazine, push the rounds back into the chamber, and then gently tip the rifle to let the casing fall out.
