Because the email that I got from Brownells scared me.
It says they require a original or certified copy of import cert/permit
A written PO on your letterhead stationary, incl foreign party end-user name and complete address
End User Statment
a DSP83 End-User Cert
and then an IIC from DFAIT.
I'm new to import/export of this sort of matter, and it is a bit intimidating. I have no Idea what letterhead they require or what an end-user is...etc.
Why do we go through this every month?!?!?!?!?!
1)Don't order a barrel,receiver,action,flash hider,it won't ship due to ITAR regs
2)the manufacturer of the part you want must be REGISTERED with the US State Dept
the list is available here on CGN somewhere, search for it, or ask Sandy at Brownells to email you a current copy,if the company name of the part you want is not listed, it ain't shipping
3)Keep your order under $100,(not including shipping) on Brownells website, right beside each gun part it has a link titled NOTICES, which states that:Gun parts totaling $100 or more will not ship outside the US
For example, Wilson Combat is a Registered company, you can order some grips, some springs, a 1911 thumb safety, as long as it totals no more than 100 bucks.
Another example, a Vltor mod stock costs $125, since it is over the $100 limit it won't ship, regardless of whether or not it's a registered company.
4) The ONLY time you can order over $100 is if it's NON-Gun Parts, such as a gun rag or a mat, some rags, etc.
5)Aerosol cans will not ship.
6) If you want to order $400 worth of stuff, split it into numerous smaller orders, Brownells will not limit the number of orders you place at the same time, my record was 5 at once, feel free to order more than that, they don't care since you aren't breaking any laws.
If you follow these rules it should be simple to get most things you want, boviously bigger items will have to be purchased on this side of the border, or get a DSP-83 form from Sandy at Brownells and order over the $100 limit if you really want to.
Good luck and happy shopping.
International Import Certificates There ain't nothing to it but to do it.
I understand that it can be up to $99.99 before shipping but is that also before taxes or do the taxes need to be included in the <$100?

Well Fellas, just so you know that came from the mouth of one of the sales agents, and I've been denied on things like flash hiders, tac latches, charging handles etc. So obviously there is some inconsistencies on order processing. Ive spent s**t loads of money at Brownell's so I'm no noob there, they have me set up as a dealer aswell so I get smoking deals... I guess next time i need an LPK i'll give them a shot...
