These days the US and Canadian military follow orders and I don't see them protecting guns like they did with the AR-15 in the past.

I don't see how the SKS miraculously survives future bans since there's so many accessories and modifications that allow it be military assault style.

7.62 x 39 might be banned too since it's considered a military cartridge.

Kamala Harris said guns are only for hunting which translates into specific bolt action rifles only.
 
I don’t think I’ve seen every post on this thread, but where all those people that kept saying the SKS will always be $200 and there’s how many millions waiting to pour into the country as soon as the cost goes up to an unreasonable $300 and don’t forget the Mosin that will never be worth more than $150 because there’s even more of those on their way into the country. Plus, China has so many waiting for us to buy and on and on and on ...

2nd amendment has absolutely nothing to do with hunting, there are 0 words related to hunting.
2nd amendment has everything to do with tyranny, 100% of the words are related to fighting tyranny.

Democrats want to repeal the 2nd amendment? Ok good luck
Once the 2nd is gone, the 1st will fall, it's already starting there and here with cancel culture.

im pretty sure they re working on it. the right to bear arms was removed from the french constitution when the ones that removed the king scared to be next one ...

I think you got this backwards. They have been going after the 1st for some time already - not de jure, but de facto. Once the digital fascism prevails and every dissenting voice is muzzled, then convincing the sheep that they need no 2nd amendment would be a mere technicality

Truer words have never been spoken. For me, I prefer factory configuration, and actually enjoy stripper clips. It took a bit of practice, but loading is now a snap for me.
 
Funny story:

Slept downstairs last night as the wife had the heat cranked in the master. I turned on the heat in the guest bedroom and crashed out. Got up this morning and got the kids out the door as usual. Opened the front door and a sweet waft of cosmoline smacked me full in face.

Turns out that old stock, which I had left beside the baseboard, had just a wee bit of the good stuff deep in its Russian bones. Fortunately it was on my cleaning carpet so the weeping goodness soaked into that. Still had to wipe excess off the butt. Still smells pretty good downstairs and I'm waiting for the ladies to ask me about it.
 
True brother. Honestly not sure how this stock escaped being loaded with newspaper, chucked in a black garbage bag and left on the dash of my truck during a Van Isle heat wave.

It would take 39 States to remove the 2nd Amendment....good luck with that.

The 1st Amendment is the right to free speech aka the right to speak & demonstrate against the Government. We have the same rights and virtually the same restrictions. I am sure most here know or have heard of. slander and liable laws. You open your mouth or grab your pen and ink; you deal with the legal consequences, if any. Nothing new there. Inciting insurrection back in the day would get you hanged. Now you just go to prison. eg. Quebec FLQ lads' See things do change.
