Market forces tell me that the price of the Tavor will have to come down now that there is competition. If I were a dealer I doubt if I would import more Tavors with the competition selling for way less that half the price. IF the Type 97's turn out to be no good then that will save the Tavor, but I somehow doubt that will be the case.
Means little, but of the two I prefer the looks of the Norinco over the Tavor.
One other note, this only happens with the first round in the mag, the other 9 rounds seem to feed fine after the first is removed. Others have said to smack the mag, If i do that it pushes the mag to far up and when you release the handle the round never loads. I find just putting the mag in until you hear it click in place is the best in my sitiation, push the mag to far in and it hangs on feeding the rounds.
It's easy to fix that, just shorten the follower a little.
View attachment 7163just picked this up at Xtreme Gun Shooting Center in Winnipeg.
Looks very very sharp!! Is that ceracote?
Norinco copy of sig p226 didn't bring the sig price down.
Norinco ar15 didn't being the ar15 price down.
The US tavors didn't bring the Canadian tavor prices down.
Market forces tell me that it is very rare to see reduction in gun prices.
Unless there are 5 other bullpups in the $1000 range in the Canadian market, then maybe you will see the price of tavors dropping.
The Canadian market is not big enough to have real competition and price reduction.
