My rifle shoots 1/2" groups @100 yards all day! Really? Prove it.

Here is my unsuccessfull attempt with another 30BR. Everything rounded up to next hundredth. Barnard S action / Krieger barrel / CG trigger / Robertson Long Range Hunter stock / chambered to 30 BR.

Hey cycbb486 I'll see your .500" and raise you a .250". :) When I get home I'll give this challenge a go.

LOL Hend................... I said to myself "self, I will NOT embarrass myself by shooting the 6PPC's" Actually it was more like this, "self, this challenge is NOT for your 6PPC's. Those are work horses."

It has been a struggle to get there. The best part, I am learning a TON along the way. Be safe down there and safe travels home. You are needed in Australia.

I decided to go out again today more for the learning process and trigger time. Let the targets speak.

This was shot with the the 40gr Nosler FBHP Varmageddons. I also used Benchmark and not my blended powder. I tried 2 different primers as well. The standard CCI 400's and CCI 450's. From what I am starting to see the 450's may be a bit on the hot side for the 223.

The rifle is the same Rem 700 .223.

DSCF0498.jpgDSCF0497.jpgTook the challenge. Started off okay but cold and wind got me and last three groups were getting bigger. Rifle used Defiance Machine Mutant receiver, Krieger 1:12 Palma 298 X 3075 barrel, Eliseo stock, 2 oz Jewell trigger. Load was 155 gr bullets, Federal 210M, Lapua cases, and all the Varget that will fit. Range temp was -12 C, east wind at 10 K. DSCF0488.jpgDSCF0490.jpgDSCF0495.jpg

Thanks cy. I'm heading home in a few days actually. I'm not looking forward to it. I haven't seen temps below +30 deg is 2.5 months. It's going to be a shocker being back in the Rockies! I'll break out some of my .5 MOA all day long rifles and trudge out to Rosebud and see how I fair with this challenge. Brrrrrr.

Just got a new Jewel BR trigger and just had to try the 40X 6 BR today and 105 Bergers
Wind gods got the first group, but I'm happy knowing it shoots.
I shot 10 warmup shots first. There's 6 in a tight hole, but don't count.

I think I have sent a private message to almost everyone who has attempted the three challenges asking them to add the required info to their post. Could everyone please make sure you have all the required info before you post it! And try to put all your info into just ONE post. You are able to edit your post if you forgot anything. So remember, before you post you read all the requirements in the original post. Thanks Rod

FINALLY!!!! The temp was a balmy -2c today so I figured it would be a good day to try again. I did it on my first attempt today. I had my scope off, so after the 9 shots I took to sight it back in I went for the challenge, 25 rounds later I was still smiling.

Here is my rifle. It is a Custom Rem 700 done up by ALBERTA TACTICAL RIFLE chambered in 308. It has a Rock Creek barrel and sits in an AI chassis.

Hey Dilli............go back to the first post and read what the challenge is......then edit your post and remove your pictures.......fail

Well done! One question, what are you putting your crosshairs on?

I am putting my crosshairs on the dot. I had to make a scope adjustment for the 4th and 5th group so they weren't in the black. My 14X scope and crosshairs are the perfect size for centering on the dot. Although I think i could lower my average with a higher power scope.
