Mystery animal on trail cam pic

Any one care to chime in as to what animal they believe this trail cam pic is of? It is too large to be a lynx. There was a cougar sited in the area a couple months ago. Photo taken in moon river area, Ontario.

Sure looks like a cougar to me.

Why is it too large to be a lynx? With nothing for perspective I have no idea how you can say that. And besides, they arent that far off at shoulder height.

I can see spots on it, and dark ear tufts. Sure looks one to me
