Maybe the sample sent to the RCMP for analysis fell apart?
It blew in their faces so the RCMP made it prohibited for public safety !

Where was that posted?
NEA said they will announcing the classification Monday night(tomorrow night)
I just saw that, the moment of truth is upon us! Probably....
On the down side, judging by their comments it looks like they have no idea what it will be. Restricted = a relatively inexpensive AR-10 style rifle so they will definitely sell a few. NR = a huge cash cow for them since everyone and their neighbour will buy one even though everyone knows there will be a few lemons among them.
They "expect"
They're saying "$1600ish" The often imitated, never duplicated Armalite AR10 goes for $1700 from the good, good people at Wolverine Supplies. I'm not sure I see the market for a restricted semi auto of, let's call it, "questionable" quality. When there are other established options available. I've only used 2 NEA products and they've both been perfectly fine, but there are plenty of experiences that run counter to mine.
If it comes out NR they won't be able to build them fast enough.
$1800-1900 was the last expected range.
