NEA-15 First Official Picture Release

Now thats freakin funny...!!!

Imagine... 6 months to create a whole new rifle from design to production and the worst people can ##### about is a photo!?!?!?

I like it, and I'm getting one... When I do some overtime and the big boss lets me... LOL

Sorry, but the photography of that marketing plan is sub par, the lighting is poor and the use of a red crayon was a poor choice. If you really cared about the Canadian market, you would have made it a more vibrant colour.

I am a professional crayon artist, so I am very fussy about these things.

Rifle looks good though.

I want one so bad :)

Now, I'm an AR noob. This will be my first....
That being said, a friend of mine that has a 20" barrelled AR tells me to get one with a longer barrel, as the 7.5" and 10.5" ARs are not reliable without a gas piston. Is there any truth to this?

Thanks :)

Me thinks your friend is wrong.... but then again, what do I know......:)

Perhaps the friend didn't mean that the short barrels arn't reliable but that the 7.5 and 10.5 are somewhat less reliable than a 14.5,16 or 20? I seem to recall some test done by the marines or army down south where there was a reliability loss going from the 20 to the 14.5.......

Nooo. Don't send these to nz. It seems like a beautiful country I might want to take over some day. I want them armed poorly if at all possible.

Well we have like 1.2 million guns amongst about a quarter million gun owners (plus god knows how many illegal guns) so we are pretty well armed. Don't worry though, most gun owners are fudds and our government is a puppet of UN policy so you have nothing to worry about

Poorly built AR's aren't reliable, well built AR's are reliable - It's one of the beauties of the thing, really - use good parts, assemble with care, lubricate thoroughly, works like a hot damn :D Semi autos fed by 5 and 10 round mags should never have issues. What NEA is doing differently (which is MUCH tougher) is building the parts that need to be good quality, and doing it for a good price.

I think what my friend was saying that with a short barrel, there isn't enough pressure built up to cycle properly. He's usually pretty smart about firearms related stuff, which is why I didn't dismiss that nugget of information immediately.

:)

I could care less about the quality of the photographs showing a prototype NEA carbine. I'll just be patient and wait until the company offers their final products for sale, I'm sure that they will eventually come out with better quality photos and have an on line catalogue that explains all available options, complete with price lists. At this time their major focus is on manufacturing the highest quality products for a reasonable and profitable selling price......I can hardly wait...

Thank you.

We will not release any images that are not production quality anymore. This may likely mean that no images are released when product is actually available or there is time for an update though. We have to book to have our marketing guy in, and scheduling does not always mean that we all jive with timings.

It's not worth spending our time away from our projects to defend silly issues such as lighting or pixel quality.. That's where our focus needs to be.
