Quick question regarding the new batch of NEA carbines SFRC carries.

Are they milspec of commercial tubes?

Back to the original question - the first carbines had commercial buffer tubes the current carbines have mil-spec buffer tubes!!

Shouldn't it be classified as just a FA BCG but NEA goes by it's own spec and you can't call it that when the term MilSpec refers to TDP of Colt......

My buddies NEA was a fun gun to use, he has put over 1000rds through it so far and it seemed great... Will see what happens over the next 10000 rds though , but so far it has been fine with no signs of any unusual wear...

To be honest if it runs well, it is probably one of the best deals out there at this price point for what you get.

I have actually waited quite a while to pick one up, because i knew there would be teething issues. Every gun has teething issues, its just the way things work.

What I've been hearing and seeing at this point, which is something like the 4th revision of the NEA platform is that they run great and have most if not all the little kinks worked out.

Norinco notwithstanding, there really isn't anything else out there with sub-14.5" barrells and a freefloated rail at the 1k$ price point. Plus I still like the fact that its Canadian made.

Just so you guys know, there are two seperate companies in Canada that will be releasing Canadian made AR's in the next 12 months at prices competitive with NEA. except that the people offering those AR's will be honest.

One of them will source at least some parts from NEA if it's SFRC that you're referring to
