actually i use wheel bearing grease and the holes are large enuff crud wont spit.

Re the family photo. The red one in the middle. Did you chop that barrel or is that one of the options? If a standard model, what is it called?
Actualy some of the newer models of this rifle that I have been seeing are having this type of trigger gaurd and mag release lever. I like the ergo's much better of this design.i noticed more differences between the twins .
besides the front sights , the mag catch is bigger on the 5.56 and the trigger guard doesnt have the bent part .

the mag from 5.56 will fit the 7.62 but the 7.62 mag will not fit the 5.56 due to the front lug catch.
which brings me to this question , if the 5.56 mag fit the 7.62 , could i use the 5.56 mag with 7.62 ammo ? well i tried one dummy round and it worked , cant say for actual firing cycle.
