New Glock 48 owners; how long have you had it? Round count? Any revelations?

I hit around 1000 rounds last weekend. It's all been 124 gr, round nosed FMJ, but with that I've had literally ZERO failures.

The slide stop / release has gotten easier to operate with my right thumb over time. No change in trigger pull.

I'm very satisfied with this pistol.

So nobody is bugged by the big hole right beneath the muzzle?

I personally can't stand it.

It seems that a company is already making a plug for it. But I am not able to find a good picture yet.

I've now put about 2000 rounds through my 48 since I got it this spring.
The only cleaning it's received was wiping it down with a one step wipe a few times. I also lightly oiled the rails.
A couple of stove pipes with my campro 124gr reloads which are a little soft (1080fps).
It also choked on Winchester steel cased a couple of times. It fed Berry's hybrid hollowpoints no problem.
I think it's ready for a deep clean.

Have put 600 rounds through my 48. No issues of any kind, have run a couple different brands of ammo and all work fine. The issue I'm having is with grouping, the groups are tight but always left. I have other Glocks and this has never been an issue. I'm well aware of trigger finger placement and grip, I do quite a bit of pistol shooting. I think it's the slimness of the grip, it feels very small in my hand, but I'm not sure. Do others have this issue or is it just me:runaway:

I finally had a chance to hold a 48 today and really liked it except the grip. Or lack thereof. The frame wasn’t nearly as textured as the gen 5 17 or gen 4 19. Quite disappointed.

On the other hand, I really, really like the grip on the M&P2.0.

My GF and I finally got her 48 out and put 150 problem free rounds downrange. Bang on dead centre accurate for both of us. It’s a bit snappier than say a 19 or 19x but pretty damn good. No complaints and the ameriglo bold sites are awesome.

Ordered my from Rampart, will be waiting by the mail box Homer Simpson style.
What kind of sights are you guys putting on yours? I am leaning towards a tritium front with orange ring and a blacked out serrated rear.

I'm buying a G48 as soon as Sig releases their Romeo Zero slim red dot sight and I'll have the Glock slide cut for it. It's supposed to cost $200US and made for narrow single stack slides. The only other slim red dot is the Shield RMSc witch is significantly more.

Romeo Zero: 0.9" wide
Trijicon RMR: 1.2" wide

Here's a pic of it mounted to a Sig P365XL.

That is pretty slick! I really like how it has rear irons built in. I'm gonna have to look into this.

I picked up an outer impact dovetail mount and stuck a Vortex Venom on my 48 awhile ago. I’ve run over 1000 rounds through it since zero. Dead nuts on zero with no deviation at all. It does overhang very slightly, but not enough to snag on anything so far. I use the same Vedder holster though it wasn’t built to accommodate and I had to trim down the back a bit. I went this route to see if I liked it before committing to cutting up a slide I may not be able to replace without a lot of hassle, not to mention the cost (54 bucks vs. A couple hundred), and I will not be spending the extra having it milled. I like it just fine the way it is; the plate is nice and thin, VERY rigid and will work with 95% of the red dots on the market. Ive tried it on my 19 and 19X, worked fine on either. Certainlly works just fine, Im loving it

It finally arrived, very pleased with it. Now I have to pick up a few more mags, change the sights and hit the range!
RAMPART had it to me in less than a week. Very please with their customer service. Anyone that is eligible should sign up for their Shield program. It's well worth it.

I would just like to state for the record.
I own and have owned a lot of guns over the last 20 years.
The Glock 48 is my favourite gun ever.
If I could own only one gun it would be my Glock 48.

Until the next best one happens...
Sam

I have had mine since October 2019.
200 rounds through it, of Win 115gr, Fiocchi 115gr, S&B 124 (which grouped the best). No stoppages.
Glock sights, with small windage adjustments having to be made (was shooting to the right).
The smallest pistol I own, but has good fit an ergonomics (although I prefer a larger slide release).
I have only shot it with gloves on so far and find the trigger guard too small for thick, Canadian Winter style gloves, but is fine with think glove liners or Mechanix (non insulated) work gloves. I wear XL gloves but my fingers are not sausages:)
Yes, round 10 is hard to load, but I thought all Glock mags were like that from the factory.
Many universal holsters and mag pouches will work for range use. CanadaAmmo has a Kydex IWB holster for it (no CC in Canada), but I haven't found a proper, competition style holster for it yet (it isn't a comp style pistol anyway).
Sending it back as it was recalled for loaded chamber indicator not working, which mine does indeed not work as specified in the user manual. I am being sent another G48 in exchange by Rampart.
