NEW ITEM: Dominion Arms Socom 18

I picked one up last night.

Not chrome lined.

Op rod guide loose.

Front sight canted a bit, loosened gas cylinder plug, adjusted sight, tightened back up.

Barrel appears to be indexed well. (For a Norinco.)

Receiver looks decent.

One of the mags works fine, the other is a major pain in the ass to remove.

You sure you have this specific model "Dominion Arms Socom 18"?
Who in Ontario is selling them?

Sorry guys I don't have a fancy camera..

There is play in the bottom ring of the sight that the gas cylinder plug goes through. The thread timing on these sights are not correct.

I dunno.. Unless I need to run a few patches through this thing it doesn't look chrome lined to me!

(Edit: Incorrect, barrel is chrome lined.)

what does the breech / chamber look like ?? is it sliver ??

Yes it is silver.

I will post more pics later, I'm going to head out to silverdale with it rigth now.

FYI: The op rod guide and sight are easy fixes.. nothing compared to the over indexed m305 I got rid of..

Can you please explain Sir how is the 5.56mm nato pure garbage, where it is utilised by more of the half world armies...
Please shed some light on the matter..maybe there is something we dont know..

It is not my goal to wound people.........

im a hunter

I want to kill things not mess them up

If I ever go coyowolf hunting Ill take a 5.56 nato but even for this task the 7.62 is better imo as im not eating them, I simply want them obliterated

50 cal BMG vs a coywolf would be fine for me too

.... Sounds like your goal IS to would and mess things up, kinda ####ed up you dont even take the pelt, unless you are a farmer or something.

I put 40 rounds through it this evening and ran some patches through, starting to shine a bit!

Sorry my mistake!

I got mine today. It's my first m14. The mag catch doesn't work very well and the stock seems to interfere with the op rod. But I hope both of those issues will prove to bee a matter of breaking in.

I can see why the M14 has such a diehard fan base though. Everything just feels right about this gun.
