NEW ITEM: Dominion Arms Socom 18

Canpar are easy, follow the tracking and call them if you see you wont be there and tell them when you will present, work very good, yesterday 2 Socom left for my place, they are scheduled for the 12 of Nov... JP.

That would be all well and good, but I work Monday to Friday, 7-3:30. More or less the same hours as them. I would have no problem picking it up locally like when it's shipped through Canada Post. Last time I had some ammo shipped with them, they said they couldn't reschedule, and after a 3rd attempt they would ship the item back to sender. I had to argue with the guy to just let me come and pick it up. And at that point, I'd just as soon pick it up from CanAm, lol.

It's... Bubba time!

It just so happens that I saw one of these 'in the flesh' today at our little M&P's. It looked like a 305 except for the stubbier nose.
I'm not sure about that supressor. I like the idea that it's unscrewable but... it reminds me too much of an old blow-torch.
It will be interesting to see what their new owners do to them. I expect to see a lot of them getting Bubba'd.

Hi Gentlemen,
Somebody with a picture of the barrel to confirm or not it is chrome lined ?
Thanks.

X2 it looks in the pic posted of the muzzle the bore is not chrome?? Can someone who has one check , just look at the chamber .. If its not chrome thats a deal breaker for me , it will not preform as well with cheap surplus ammo and barrel life will be much less

well i must say, after buying the 5.56 M4 carbine, 7.62x39 CZ858, and M14 I love the m14 over all..........

the 5.56 nato round is pure garbage

7.62 x39 is okay........

but i LOVE the 308/ 7.62x51

and i also love short guns........so this is win win

only thing is will it be as reliable as the full size? hummm

Can you please explain Sir how is the 5.56mm nato pure garbage, where it is utilised by more of the half world armies...
Please shed some light on the matter..maybe there is something we dont know..

im sure what he ment to say, is that he prefers shooting a full size cartridge, rather than a very small intermediate cartridge with a small caliber projectile.

seems the US military is also looking into alternative cartridges, such as the 300 blackout, also the US military dug a bunch of M14s and blew the dust off em, and sent them over seas. No one can argue that a 5.56 nato is the best at its intended purpose. I know if it was me behind a weapon in a war time situation. i would rather have some extra knock down power, perhaps a 7.62 nato.

Yes....but do you want to hump 300+ rounds of 7.62 on top of water, plates, C4, grenades, plasma, spare radio batteries......etc?

The 5.56 is plenty powerful. Neither 7.62 or the 5.56 are going through the mud-walls, so its arguable about what is better; a hit is a hit. 2 in the chest, 1 in the head and I dont think anyone getting hit by the 5.56 will be saying youl should have used the 7.62.

The C6 is a ##### to hump. I thoroughly enjoyed my C9 using the 5.56.

I understand that the US Army is happy with the performance of the fairly new M855A1 62 grain ammo. Plus, they have the Black Hills 77 grain ammo as well.
The Marines use the Mk318 62 grain, which sounds pretty bad-ass.

Not that I'm personally concerned about these issues as I am now simply an urbanite who drives out to the range on the weekends for sh1ts 'n giggles.
