New MDT stock coming. XRS

I have pictures of what the chassis will look like I don’t have a way to post them here however. Sources at MDT have told me it will be in the $500 price range. Think of it as a bravo and a strike Nuke with some MDT ACC styling.

Haha once you figure out how to post them don’t forget to email your contact at MDT and get some more pics of their projects in the pipeline.

Smart move going this route. I prefer more of a stock personally. I run a pair of strike nukes. Not a fan of the Krg at all. Too cheap feeling and too much textured plastic...
You’re not giving anything up to a full chassis when you run these modern stocks. Should be interesting to see what they’ve come up with.

Interesting. I looked at the strike nuke but the krg seems to be a better bang for the buck with all that's included. I have a KRG and love it. Perhaps I should try the cadex for my other 700. Or this MDT...

So much interest! any guesses on price?

Good marketing MDT. I am looking forward to it ... Sure smells like some J Allen influence ?

This was in the works way before the JAE deal, should be very little JAE once it's released, other than I guess the shape when wrapped could make you think it's a JAE

Inletted for savage would be great too. Neither the krg bravo or cadex strike nuke are so this would be a nice option

Savage is in the works, we usually always lead off with the most popular which is the 700

If you can hold off for another few weeks, I think you'll want to go with the MDT over those choices.

If it's a Tikka long action inlet I will be all over it. Fingers crossed.

That is a possibility for sure!

How bout the ultimatum deadline, I can see an all Canadian build in my future.

I just need to put up a wtt add, human organs for tangent theta scope

If you do go that route, it would be wise to have a good gunsmith put the rifle together and sort out any potential issues. The Deadline, while "kind of a 700 footprint" and with it's oversized .850" bolt is the cause of a lot of fitment issues and resulting frustration. Actions such as the Ultimatum and the Curtis Customs with their oversized bolts have been the cause of lots of feeding issues. Hence why Joel Russo, formerly with Curtis Customs, left and made his own company and improved on the Curtis design by reducing the bolt diameter.

Just something to keep in mind as you plan your build. Also, because the Ultimatum is a "kind of rem700 footprint", a good gunsmith should be able to make the modifications required to get an Ultimatum to fit into the chassis, just in case MDT decides to not offer a dedicated Ultimatum footprint like they do with their ACC chassis.

Some info on the Deadline is in the latest Caliber magazine, and apparently they are following up with another article in the near future.
