I own a .375. I definitely wouldn't call it a push! Not hunting anything angry so the .338 will be plenty.
I have a .375 also and i find that the recoil is less of a sharp punch then the 338 seems to be? Perhaps that is just how i perceive it?.

Well in that case, I'd go with a fixed 6x.![]()
Ya, I have both in the same rifle and wouldn't say the .375 has less recoil, that's for sure.
If you have a .338 already, why buy another one?
if you cant hit a horse at 300 yards with a 4 or 6x scope, better stay home newband practice shootin'
It will be packed up and mailed this evening. HeheRapid Z600 is a good choice - just waiting for mine to arrive, but all reports say it's the cat's ass!
Mine's going on a .300 wm
I wouldn't dream of attempting to dissuade someone from buying a new rifle, but "plains" game can be killed just fine to 300 yards with anyhtign in the 30-06/7RM/300 class of cartridges. If you are trying to keep weight and recoil reduced, you might want to think about it.
If you must get a new rifle, I'd try out a Kimber, just becuase I dont' have one yet.![]()
You all seem to be missing the point....I know there are a hundred catridges that will do the job but I want a .338 for this trip. No reason other than that's what I want!

Well then buy a Kimber, as I suggested.
