New shipment of Chinese SKS

I purchased from G4C and received a 23* serial Factory 26 with the Bakelite hand guard. Not too much cosmoline either and it was easy to clean off.

Thought I'd add another data point for folks in this thread since it was so helpful to me! I recently picked up my first SKS from Cabelas in Calgary on the BF sale. Received a 14 mill SN with the wood upper handguard, and while I was initially disappointed I must say that it looks to be in very good condition. Some minor rusting in the nooks but otherwise good to go. SN all match and to my eye have not been re-etched, although others are more knowledgeable on this point that me!

This is exactly what I'm looking for. Got an add up now trying to sell/trade some rifles so i can get one of these.

Btw G4c currently has non-bakelite sks only

It baffles me as to why they cannot even post a picture of the actual surplus rifle they are trying to sell to you. Takes like a few minutes and a sticker on the box with the item number. Dealers are making 150 to 200 on any SKS. Business seems to be still pretty good.

cabelas same thing, sale $450 showed french tickler version on their site but in store had nothing but wood top HG.

Rather buy that 1951 Tula on the EE just listed for $500. Prices for SKS are a bit soft right now, time to buy. And for sure NOT a Chicom with standard Chu wood and non French tickler hand guard.
