Not sure there’s much point in debating someone that doesn’t understand basic definitions of the words he uses.

It doesn’t matter why I don’t want you on my land, I don’t need a reason and I don’t need to justify it to the likes of you, just stay the #### off it. The onus shouldn’t be on the landowner to have to post and police his land against disrespectful self entitled Saskawhiners such as yourself.

Now you are being honest. STAY OFF MY LAWN.

After they were identified the laws sure have helped. Turns out it was neighbours, they had 40 acres of their own , but their daughters thought a wet spot in my hay field would be fun. That family left the area shortly afterward.

And the laws put me in a much better liability position when I take action if I find some trespassing scumbag on my place.
Are you native? Colten Bushie thought he could go where he wanted as well.

Was Colten Bushie hunting? It is against the law for natives to hunt ANY private land already.

Did that stop that carload of criminals.

Nobody is claiming it is a right.

Sorry but you wanting to use land that you didn't not pay for, not wanting to be labelled a criminal (which you are if you are using property you didn't pay for or have permission for), and not wanting to "be inconvenienced" sure sound like you think you have a right to use others land

Shawn

Right now in sask it is tresspassing if you enter private land any time of the year even if its not posted but if you have a hunting licence you can enter private land if its not posted. It is still best to ask permission

In Ontario, trespassing is never allowed,no matter what. Simple trespassing under The Trespass to Property Act first offense is a summary conviction ticket costing $100 plus a "victim surcharge" of $20,BUT, no charge can be laid unless the landowner or their agent first orders the trespasser(s) off the property, lands must be properly signed except agricultural areas under cultivation. "Trespassing to hunt" under the FWCAct fist offense will cost you a minimum of $1K and a one year license suspension. The law doesn't give two fiddler's flyin' f--ks if the trespassers are FN or not. I should note that Sask posters are hunting farms that are a lot bigger than anything we have in Ontario. Almost every farm in southern Ontario is much less than what you folks call "a 1/4". Most are half that big, some are a touch larger @100 acres. With properties that close together,we need to be really, really careful.

I can choose to post my land anytime then nobody goes on without permission, I have that right by law.

I don't have a problem with hunters using my land. So why should they be forced obtain my permission?

Now all of the guys who hunt on my land are going to be made into criminals by the stroke of a pen.

Nobody is claiming that farmers should not be able to post their land, they have that right.

Still can't believe some of the backwards think. Why should the onus be on the property owner to inform others they must stay off property by posting. I have a neighbor that goes around posting property that isn't even his to "scare hunters" off or from accessing property he considers his honey hole. If people did away with the posting monkey business and talked to land owners there'd be no confusion and a lot more respect for the hunters.

And every farmer has the right to post his land.

The onus shouldn’t be on the landowner to put up signs to disallow access. Thankfully that silly law is about to change.

If you don’t want the “hassle” of giving permission to hunters then you can post your land ‘open to hunting-permission not required’.
The rest of us have better things to do with our time than run around replacing no trespassing signs.

Exactly!
