Guess I'll find out for myself... order is in lol.
I ordered mine with the vent rib barrel and a +3 extension.
Looks a lil something like this (minus the red)

It's like a Salient Arms M2 Tactical ripoff for 1/4 the money

I just got back from the range.

It didn't cycle SCORE competition reduced recoil slugs - strange since they're still high brass loads and my Benelli M4 eats it up.

It ran flawlessly with SCORE 2 3/4 00.

oh well. its a buckshot only gun until I can find slugs that it likes.

So these have been out in the wild a little while now, what is everyone thinking about them?
I am on the fence about one of these or do an 870 build.

After my experience with TNA products and them ignoring all my emails and questions for help, even after I offered to PAY for the replacement part I needed ID SAY RUN FOR THE HILLS.

870 be safer bet at least you can buy parts to fix it in the EE

Well that's not great news, maybe after a break in it'll run em.
I hope so because I run exclusively Federal LE Buck (1145) and Slugs (1300) as well as target 7.5/8 shot (1200)
After being reassured it will cycle target loads I'll be pretty unimpressed if it doesn't.

Just got mine but I've put around 150 shells of 2 3/4 target load through mine, hasn't had any cycling or feeding issues yet

I’ve got a version of the VR-66 and honestly I’ve been so impressed with it. It’s functioned with every shell I have shot through it (mostly slugs, 00 and number 4). Recoils soft, and I added an aftermarket s&j +2 mag extension. If I was going to shoot 3 gun and it was rule compliant I would put the +3 round extension on it. All in all I’m very impressed for the money.

I was shooting 1oz slugs at a rated 1300fps and it wouldn't cycle 90% of the time.

I tried smoothing it out with some 00 buck but it didn't help.

Hopefully that resolves itself as the round count increases.
I've read of tuning M2's for softer loads by cutting off a few coils on the recoil spring. I think TNA has them on hand if you go too far so might be an option for you.
