Wow thanks for the insight, pretty cool to hear about the process and timeline.

Now this begs the question; right now we would be looking mid january... And there's not even an update about production beginning.

Realistically there is no reason why these companies can't keep people better informed. I even know what ship my sea can is on that's enroute to Halifax. Its clearly shown on the Maersk booking paperwork. I then track it either on Marine Traffics webpage or Vessel Finder.

^^^^^I want TI to tell us they AREN'T in production yet

It's Norinco. These rifles will be a small potatoes order for them. Money talks and BS walks that's how your spot is determined in the queue. I wouldn't count on any type of real commitment to delivery time. There may even be a minimum order quantity before you can start production.

I don't like to complain, but a monthly update would be nice. Even if there is no news, just say so.
Situational awareness is key to keeping the spin doctors from freaking everyone out.
In the Army, situational awareness keeps dissention at bay.
I don't think a monthly update is unreasonable.

People, people, stop this pre-order business...product on shelf means buy, product not on shelf means your an investor so product can be on shelf for buyers. Buyers buy whats on the shelf! Period!

I think at this point we should stop commenting on this thread. They'd be quick to bump it to the top if it fell behind just like they frequently do with their for sale ad.

Tactical imports logs in daily and bump the for sale ad frequently to keep people buying; but dont bother updating those of us who've already prepaid long ago.

I bet once this stops getting banter and more pre-orders cancel from lack of info they'll try to update us.

Yes, I agree, your thoughts everyone...? Let's all comment on not commenting

Given that TI made it clear that we cannot expect these until Winter and winter is over a month away and three months long, they are not likely in production and they would not need to be given that to meet their timeframe, they have four months.

both my Norinco and VZ have CA 15 on them. Price didn't go up

Yes if the manufacturer did or will do this in production, it will not add cost. But if not, the importer will charge you about it. You will see price difference especially on low price firearms. IMO, If our gov really want to do this even it is useless they should have some tax rebate to importer or customer for this cost. Just like they encourage people to buy Eco-green stuffs like Electric car. As gov said, If we put UN marking to reduce gun crime and then lower the public safety cost right?

BC lead the election with the largest liberal turn out in decades you dumb f u c k

Zero reason for that.

Once again, a thread erodes into the lowest common denominator.

Some hear may agree or disagree with the way that TI has chosen to conduct their business. However, from a ethical standpoint, they have done NOTHING to deserve this vitriol for the ultimate crime of doing what they can to bring a potentially a new and exciting firearm to our market.

So for, all I have seen, is a long list of people who have neither the patience, temperament, or funds to enter into a deal such as this.
