NFA told Canadian Wholesale Ammo to stop using their images and logo!

Try "googling" the telephone number (from WHOIS) and you will find someone else connected to it.

There is even a specific reference made to the number originating in BC but this person living in Edmonton.

A number of guns offered for sale by someone who's name matches the WHOIS information. Also some looking to rent a home on kijiji which also matches the address.

Also found this when googling the phone number listed on their 12% off flyer:

Ian's English and Grammar seem much better then the person who wrote the CWA website and making the posts on here though.

Haven't found the company registration yet but I have the website whois information (website registration includes names, addresses and telephone numbers).

I suspect if I post this though this thread will be locked and my reply edited.

Thoughts?

Then you have the correct address. It has been verified in person. (not by me)

What is also clear is that Ian Kowalski is not simply a innocent web designer who registered the domain, he is in the firearms/ammo businesses and a shooter or collector based on his for sale ads on usedfirearms.ca

Threads like this can only help the good business folks on this forum… Keep it alive CGN and help warn people of the scammers!!

DoubleD: I think you're taking some liberties with the lyrics. :dancingbanana:

Anyway, if people have been wronged (i.e. scammed by CWA) they at least have a name and address to begin with (or know where to find it).

Personally, given my experience with registering domains, the Whois information is extremely reliable. Although the website is hosted by Launchpad, the remaining contact information is usually related to the business owner. I for one, wouldn't want my domain to be taken over by another simply because no one could reach me for payment renewal, or some other reason.

Good luck all!

Excellent work guys and Sharked , you'd easily get a job in the CIA . 22,000 on the NFA Facebook page so let those guys know exactly who this scammer is that has been ripping them off .

Interesting.

The other concerns I have are I couldn't find this company in:

Industry Canada's registry of businesses (incorporated, registered or other) - under this name or another that was posted earlier, acronyms, location.
Provincially registered with Alberta. - which is really odd because my company won some work in Fort McMurray and the registrations in Alberta were nuts (and my company is federally incorporated).
GST/HST registration with CRA (although Alberta doesn't have HST, the GST (5%) is still a federal registration requirement and registered the same way).
Operating As name registration (for numbered companies operating under a different name - not uncommon).

It's not that the police can't act. They chose not to. Under these circumstances i find that unacceptable. I've heard the "civil matter I don't want to be bothered doing any work beyond profitable traffic infractions" line before.
I've been following this story and it appears someone is robbing people. I thought there were protections against thievery.
Anyone whose been through small claims knows how frustrating and sometimes fruitless that exercise can be. Never mind getting a judgement enforced. Hopefully any perspective buyers will find this feedback before placing an order. And I tip my hat to all the good people who took their valuable time to expose these scammers. Well done.

As of 10 minutes ago, The Alberta CFO's office has confirmed to me directly that Canadian Wholesale Ammo is NOT a CFO licensed dealer.

There it is .
Thanks for this valuable info . I'm sure many folks here have been spared getting scammed . Sorry you had to go through this Tac , but I'm glad to know others won't go through it too .
