Good riddance. Worst warranty center I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Sent it in for repair, was returned broken in a different way and insisted that that how I sent it in and that the damage was my own fault. Got rid of everything Nikon thereafter. This news makes me happy.

They certainly won the prize for the absolute worst reticle in the market with those stupid circles. They finally went to a useful hash mark system and then they decide to pull the plug.

I’ve been impressed by their entry level products and rimfire scopes. Nikon has always given me the impression that sports optics weren’t corporate priority and in recent years more of a liability. I’ll grab some close out rimfire scopes and be done with them. In the $150-$250 range I have not seen anything brighter, clearer or more functional.

damn. i was planning on buying the Nikon FX1000 for my RPR. not sure if the good sale is worth the potential no warranty. currently great price on cabelas on sale.

I sure like their binoculars. I shoot Canon so I haven't any experience with the Nikon camera lenses.

Re Nikon and Steiner lack of customer service. If you think they are bad, you haven't experienced MINOX's. Went thru 3 scopes that had the ocular assembly coming loose. From start to finish, this took 3 years to get resolved. They finally just refunded me my money. The warranty center is Blaser USA, in Texas. They can NOT handle Canadian returns. ITAR. Minox Germany do not answer their emails. I had to get Blaser USA to shame them into answering. The excuse was always the same. "Said" person was on holidays. Too bad the quality control wasn't better, because they sure were nice to look thru.
