No reply ??

"Nichts neuen im Osten", I think: nothing new on the Eastern Front.

Just how long DOES it take to check one serial number, anyway?

"Im Osten nichts Neues" ... verdammt noch mal !
Wenn du schon deutsch schreiben willst, dann bitte richtig...

you are welcome :)

R-1 DAVE;
Ok lets see if we can clear this up and end this thread once and for all....
I apologize for not replying earlier as Frank & I were away on the other side of the world....

"I wont include your first email that only said " return it and we'll replace it " Why not not it is not a secret mesaage....

I was not asked to include instructions. The RMA # should have been plenty to go on." I fail to see how you arrive at that conclusion ?? A package with no instructions does not get first attention....

"Well I recieved my gun back today. Thanks for the lies John. Same crap gun with the plating coming off the hammer. For some reason this production run of stainless steel revolvers had nickel plated hammers, a small number did experience plating coming off in the area of the firing pin....

Interesting since the original revolver was serial #E20492, and the replacement revolver sent to you was serial # E20451 B]

Please mail me back my original registration tag which I sent with the gun.
As the firearm was returned to us the registration was cancelled....

"I want people to see how they deal with customers. It's not good business at all. "
I would like you to eplain what we did that was so bad ??

Obviously there is an issue with th area around the firing pin, for this we apologize, we are prepared to offer you a complete refund....
However I do not appreciate being called a liar in your post, this this untrue, all you had to do was either read the serial number or have someone read it to you

JOHN

BUFFDOG;
"No wonder that he is pissed off! I, and almost anyone on this forum would be too, if it was apparent that you were promised a replacement, and received the same one back that you sent in. Especially if you were told that it was being replaced, and part of the delay was the transfer being delayed by the CFC for approval. I would get the feeling that I was being jerked around and being lied to. "

OK people, please take a moment to read my reply, who is lying ?
John

The Man In Black;
" A public forum is a perfect place to voice discontent with service. This guy is getting terrible service. Get your head out of your ass and see this"

While I agree with your statement regarding the public forum, perhaps the one yelling and screaming should at the very least be truthfull in his claims and statements....
John

T-STAR;
"
a simple CHECK OF THE SERIAL NUMBER would confirm as to which pistol he got- there could be cocieveably 2 with identical "flaking" "

Thank you for a bit of logical thinking.... As you can see the complainant obaviously did not want to simply read the serial number, far too simple, better to #####, yell & LIE about the facts, thereby he gets to see his name in print

JOHN

TIRIAK:
Could be that Pietta has had plating problems. Could be that more than one gun has poor plating.
Please see my reply, the revolver is stainless, for some unknown reason they appear to have used plated hammers in this production run....

"But surely a simple check of the serial numbers would determine if its the same revolver or not."
It should be obvious that Dave is only interested in attempting to discredit Marstar at any cost. As you will see in my reply the serial numbers ARE different

"If the serials are different, then the claim that Marstar returned the original pistol is, well, suspicious. "
You are free to draw your own conclusions....
John

BROWNING NB;

"same serial number? Yes ,no OP. "

One would think it should be that simple....

John

BUFFDOG;
"I would hardly consider that plating that was flaking off a NEW firearm as a mere "finish blemish."

Please take a moment to read my replies,
John

SMELLIE;
"Just how long DOES it take to check one serial number, anyway? "

I could not agree more, but then agfain Dave would not have been able to stir the pot by lying to all his fellow CGN members....

John

The Conclusion

JOHNONE states

"Interesting since the original revolver was serial #E20492, and the replacement revolver sent to you was serial # E20451"

It would appear that this should make it clear as to the position of each party directly involved in this one.

JOHNONE has given a direct statement of his position, and provided the facts on the serial numbers.

The OP, after screaming like a rapXX --(oops, sorry, can't say that word,) --violated Ape, is understandably silent.

And I do stand by my statement that I would be pissed off if a Dealer offered me a replacement and sent back the SAME firearm that I had trouble with, and that I had returned to the Dealer.

Also, I repeat, "I would hardly consider that plating that was flaking off a NEW firearm as a mere "finish blemish." If I received a NEW firearm from a dealer, and the plating was flaking off, there would be some instant communications with that Dealer.

I also said, in post # 39 to this thread,
"Alternately, a positive statement from JOHNONE that the revolver in question was actually replaced with a new one, and that the OP did NOT get his original firearm back might be posted.

This is getting better all the time. I wonder which one of the affected parties will be the first to reply!"

It looks like we know who the first one to reply was!

Sorry John, I take back some of my comments but not all. You guys sent me some other used gun. Since I didn't have my original reg papers, I checked my photos of the damaged gun and the only number I could see matched the second one.

Either way, I have a gun with pealing nickel plate, carbon staining and wear marks. Plus it came disassembled in the box with no paperwork. WTF is that about ? I should have recieved the new reg by now.

For the record, I've purchased firearms from 5 or 6 dealers and never had this kind of trouble. I've been shooting since the early 80's and collecting for 15 years now, this aint my first rodeo.

I've washed my hands of this as have you, I'm sure. You wont recieve any more business from me or anybody else I know in the shooting community.

Really?? When for some reason the guy can't be bothered to pick up the phone and call. Unless he's a mute or something I would think that any reasonable person would take that step before acting like a little ##### crying to everyone else about it on a public forum.

Most guys I know would prefer to deal with someone directly if they felt they were wronged as opposed to hiding behind their computer sending emails. But then again most guys I know don't sit down when they pee.

DL

Speaking of internet tough guys. Most guys I know who comment like this work behind computers, Don't talk to girls and have alot of guns to help make them feel manly.

You're the pot or kettle?
I better get a desk job, as I know how to use a phone and like talking to gun store workers/owners.

R-1DAVE;
"You guys sent me some other used gun. "
This is so absurd I will not dignify it with a reply.

"Either way, I have a gun with pealing nickel plate,"
What you have is a stainless revolver with a peeling in the area of the firing pin

". Plus it came disassembled in the box with no paperwork. WTF is that about ?"
Now I have heard everything, we sell "kit guns" ??

"I should have recieved the new reg by now."
Yes we are to blame for this as well, since the registry comes under the direct command of Marstar

"You wont recieve any more business from me or anybody else I know in the shooting community. "
I really hope you are telling the truth this time....

PLEASE return this revolver for a complete refund.... PLEASE purchase something elsewhere so you can then lie to them....
John
