Hate to break it to you, but CanAm isn't the only online retailer. If you dislike the service offered, move on and support a retailer you like.

That's true, but they're one of the larger ones and have been able to secure products no one else has (these deals), this makes them the only grocery store in town that sells milk at a dollar a jug. You can get away with a lot more when customers have no choice. Let's face it. Everyone here moans and crys but at the end of the day, they know they have no other option, and Camam knows that, too. It's a pretty fantastic position to be in. Huge demand for your products, competitors can't get the same deal, drive down fixed costs by not hiring more people, customers are willing to put up with slow process times, hold customer's money for weeks without needing to ship anything.

I've seen ads from CanAm in May on this board looking to hire two positions in their warehouse. They may not be upgrading their service as fast as people would like, but it appears they are trying.

Saw that also, good on them. Its prob a little overwhelming and now it's time to get some more hands in there.

I think the only ones whining and complainingV:I:, are the ones with no other 1911's to play with, till their deal comes through.:D

Not all . When mine shows up it will probably just end up in the safe with about 4 other new pistols I haven't got around to shooting yet . The issue for me is not the fact of not having the product in hand it's the sales experience

Must be one hell of a drive to work every day from the West Kootenays to Vancouver.
By your post I assume you work for CanAmmo . ;)

I must admit I almost spit my beer out when I read this. I had a good chuckle. I assure you that if I worked for CanAm I sure as hell wouldn't have waited 7 weeks for my combo to arrive Laugh2 hahaha

I'm not saying everything is right in the CanAm world, I just hope to come on the forum to see what everyone has done to their 1911 to make it unique from the next only to find the same question asked every 4 posts. I guess it's just people's attitude now needing a personalized answer for everything spoon fed to them rather than having to research the answer for themselves.

/rant :p

We certainly have. It is very tough to find good ppl with a PAL, at at decent wages for both parties. Also, the rush is mainly due to the combo, so what happens to all these good ppl once the sale is over?

I should order a couple more...

Now that I have a pair to enjoy and keep me occupied for QUITE a while, I

know I could stand the wait. I don't NEED any more, though!! Somebody please

talk me OUT of ordering!

Think of the explaining to the wife...;) That's what's stopping me - I have 2 CFO's to get approval by... the government one and the household one! Oh, and also an update on my missing items would be appreciated.

My package came a day early. Not one issue with the gun. No scratch, no cracked grips. BTW Jay I have your mint grips for you. :D

Nice, I just changed my grips to colt black rubber and then my faux pearl with silverish inlay came so tried those to,not sure but may like the black rubber original colt grips better! By the way, where do you get those exploded view mats? I would like to get one!

cbabes, whose mags did you use in the latter pics?

Chip McCormick Power mag 8 rounders. They have always worked great for me. The Wilson Combat mags are awesome too. Only problem with this 1911 is they don't freely drop like the Norinco mags that came with the gun. Also they are not locking the slide back like the Norinco mags do on an empty mags. I should be able to correct that with little work.

I bought that mat from the GlockStore online years ago. Yes, I think the Pachmayr grips I have on are perfect for this Norinco. I always liked the grip they gave when I used to shoot 1911s a lot. I am more of a Tanfoglio guy now. :D
