I just picked up a 9mm pistol and the cost of 9mm works out to just a bit less than the Norc .45acp. That being said, who knows how long the cheap Norc .45 will last.

Yeah Mister Donut,

I hear what you are saying. I did the math and re-confirmed that it would be about 15 cents a round of 9mm to 25 cents a round of 45ACP (of course this is after taxes and trying to source out the components online for a few different vendors to establish a reliable estimate). In order to be cost effective (again this may be just for me, may be other may think the same way or not), I would like to go through about 300 to 500 rounds in a sessions. Over time the cost savings are there, over the course of a year or so. And If I decide to try steel challenge (which I am trying to get around to), then this would be about what I would estimate for a round count every couple of weeks.

Yeah I reloaded my 45acp norinco casings ,at least twice now ; no problems . they still look fine

Just wondering if anyone has reloaded that Norc ammo that comes with this gun? There have been a couple casings that have 'clipped' at the mouth. Is it suitable for reloading? I am new to reloading (will be this winter) and don't want to take a chance.
Thanks

Thanks Canada Ammo, took my 1911 out today and put 250 shoots in it, and not one problem shoots great, thanks for the great deal.
shooting it at 15 yards and grouping great.
4" groups at 15 yards I think that good for first time out.

Hello everyone, first post here but I have been reading the forum for a long time. I'm from Quebec, so please don't mind my english!

Apparently, they seem to have run out of them, even tough it states that it is in stock. I tried several time to complete the order and I get an error message stating it's no longer in stock.
Am I the only one unable to complete my order?

Should I just pass on this deal and wait for them to get the police model back in stock (the 5in model, preferably in two-tone)? Are the upgrades on this model mostly cosmetic since they are cheap original norinco parts, or they do make a real difference performance wise?
I plan on doing some target shooting with it just for some cheap fun, but if it's good enough, I might upgrade it and use it for IPSC as a backup for my SP-01 shadow, just for a change once in a while.

Or maybe I could get the government for now and leave it original since there is no markings and it looks great, and later on get the police model.

Other thread states they're doing inventory - something about their inventory control/recording is having them zero-out the internet display of how much stock they have after they count that item. if you get through to them on the phone, or by email they'll be able to help - I think...

I understand that once they finish their count, they'll put the stock back online.
Or something like that...
Oh.. votre anglais est mieux que mon francais.

Thanks for the info. I already sent an e-mail, but since it is closed today, I thought I'd ask here!

Also, for those who bought a two-tone norinco, how is the finish and is it durable? Is it painted, polished...?
I really like the look of it, but if it is cheap and does get scratched, chipped or tarnished from hands rubbing on it or gun shot residues, I might reconsider my choice and take the black one instead

Well if these were originally for a military or police force, then the Chinese probably have a warehouse full of them, and they can't dump them in the U.S. so we get to benefit! Buy while you can,, the liberals are coming!

Just an update. My 1000 rounds are done and not one failure of any kind. Great deal for a plinker. My Norinco AR has well over 10,000 rounds and same thing. Makes me laugh when people knock Norinco.

I called Canadaammo today, and they told me that I could not complete the purchase due to the inventory, and he told me to wait later today to order, which I just did! No the wait begins, hopefully it won't be too long! If I like this one, I might also get the police model in two-tone when it gets back in stock.

It's the first time I order a firearm online, do I have to do anything regarding the transfer and the transport of the firearm with the RCMP, or Canada ammo will take care of everything?

Originally I was not going to partake in this deal after i heard about supposed 2 month waiting periods however I decided I needed 1000 rounds and it was okay to wait 2 months.
I ordered about a week ago and I should be getting my ammo tomorrow.
1 week turn around is a lot better than 2 months.

I may order another 1000 rounds.
I still think anyone who uses Chinese equipment hates freedom and I'm going to give my 1911 to the first kid on the block I see.
:)

Slightly off topic question, but why does the 1000 rounds or norinco .45 show as in stock, as do the 50 round boxes. But when you select the 500 round ammo can it shows as out of stock?
