Norinco 7.62x39

.223 5.56 is expensive when compared to 7.62x39 so if $$ is a factor go with 7.62x39 if your just plinking/ zombie hunting.

You sure about that? Based on price comparison on SFRC website between MFS 7.62X39 & 223/5.56 ammo, 7.62x39 is more expensive than 223/5.56.
Some people on other forum said 223/5.56 is cheaper, but 7.62x39 is more powerful.

Anyone else?

Well A month ago or so I bought 2880 rounds of 7.62x39 for $500 17.3 cents per round.... seems cheap-ish'r then .223 ...Best I have seen for .223 is .23 cents per round and that's if you buy 10,000+ rounds

how about in term of power and reliability? I read that 223/5.56 is more reliable for shooting longer distance than 7.62x39, but 7.62x39 is more powerful and for shorter distance.

everything considered.... One could say that is the long and short of it. .223 does shoot flatter, also use wiki as it is a good read when it come to general info on different calibers.

Sorry, I do not see an order for "pgiuseppe"

I think he means he wants to order, but you guys don't have any, though he's asking for a crate, but linked a 20 round box...either way the price for a 20 box is pretty good, but for 1200 you only save $1.33 per box.

do you guys normally stock surplus 7.62x39? by the crate/tuna can? I would also be interested in a couple boxes of soft points :) so i can order some ammo cans, trigger locks and the pistol mug and combine shipping...

that was great ammo. Burned a little dirty (my opinion) but certainly non corrosive, accurate and reliable (Even feeds and fires in my sks with ice frozen to the ammo!) waiting for more...

Those cartridges killed extractor on my LMT 7.62x39 bolt on my AR. Twice. Something to do with lacquer, it just expands too much in AR chamber and stick in there really hard. Just FYI if you have an AR in 7.62.
