Norinco AR's

If I sell mine it'll be for what I can replace it for ~ $1,600.00 (wont be selling it :D)

I sold my Stag but am keeping the Norinco - very, very, happy with it.

Put a deposit on one today. Probably won't arrive until mid-Nov., by the time I scrape together the rest of the cash, and it ships out.

I have a feeling the quality is pretty damned good, however I have yet to see one. Why do I say this? I work for a very well known water treatment company and since we were sold 5 years ago, I have seen all of our equipment production moved from USA and Canada to the Peoples Republic of China. I have to say the quality of our equipment, short term that is, it has only been 5 years, has increased without question. We are fielding some of the best equipment yet in the 15 years I have worked for this company. I can honestly believe that firearms production might just be improving in China. Am I happy about this observation?, perhaps not, but I am surprised and the fact is my job as a service tech is now easier......

Oh god, you people have no shame. Norinco's are embarrassing. Only true American made AR's are allowed at my range.(..and England as well)

I have the original CQ311 and I have handled the new M4 version and I can say the original is way better quality, the M4 version is full of machine marks it looks like it was made with a file. Just my 2 cents.

Yup very happy with the norc AR...not a problem yet with it. Will not be selling it to buy the same gun but twice the price

Norinco ARs look like s**t - but undeniably they do work.

The finish of the bolt group has some issues - they come off quite easily. The FSB pin holes were brutalized by Mr. Wen Assembler No.221 - and the handguard cap distance to the nut is off.

It is very low on pride of ownership - but as a whatever ( I bought it to practice barrel strike.....that was the intention and to shoot questionable ammo), it is not bad at all. I got a loose primer stuck between the cam pin and the gas key - I pound it wth a screw driver without even thinking about. I doublt I will do that to my noveske (or shoot s**t ammo through it in the first place)

I dunno...Ive held an "Imperial Defence" right next to a "Norinco" and they both look like they were assembled with the same chattering crappy milling tools and poorly cast parts. The only difference is the extra coating of $2 spray paint that covers the Norinco's Parkerizing.

I just dont see the value in something claiming to be made in England when some dude is just sipping on tea and putting his country's name on the side of something equal in caliber to a Chinese knock-off If you ask me.

For $800 you cant beat the Norinco.

If cost is your only factor --

As bare boned as the Rincos are, an AR15 can easily be built from parts found on the EE here for under 1K and end up having a better resale value.

But in this gimmy, gimmy society, it's the patience people don't have to seek out deals and maybe have to wait awhile to complete the project.

Norinco's may have their niche, just not justifiable to me.
