Deckard, if the pollsters are serious, I will add it to my project list for 2007. Got some honey - do projects that take precidence so thinking summer to get the plug done up for viewing. Right now I am working on the M305/M1A shims.

If there is still interest, will go get a mold made up. The first two stocks will be considered 'seconds' and offered at a reduced price.

I am looking for experienced suggestions on the optics mount. right now, I am thinking an AK type weaver base mount. Install the 'receiver' plate on the stock. Clip the mount with optics on. Makes it removable and easily changed.

Would need to borrow parts to get sizing and spacing.

Another would be to modify the Leapers scope base that comes with the SKS receiver cover mount (simple bolt on). I have a few and are actually well made. From an alum type alloy so not all that great for big boomers but for this little plinker, should stand up very well.

That would be a more permanent mount but you could make the rings detachable if desired.

The optics mount would not be included with the stock. However, from the feedback I receive, I will reinforce the stock to take the nuts and bolts. Just need to know where to put the reinforcements.

Now if someone can also be creative and make an over the top mount similar to the orig design, I would be happy to reinforce the stock accordingly.

I also have a neat little idea for the rear of the stock to allow one to hold mags there - two actually.

For sure, the stock will be in halves, bolted together and to the M77B. No recoil pad will be included as none is needed. A plate or pad could easily be mounted as desired. Might try texturing the grip and buttplate area but it will likely be easier to apply during the paint stage.

I am thinking of making a faux barrel and brake/flashhider if someone can do the milling or help to adapt off the shelf parts.

Looking for some ideas especially from those who can help me with machine work and fabrication.

There are only 9 or so interested so let's see what you are all expecting.

Reviewing costs a bit, still looks like an out of the mold stock is going to cost $150 plus shipping and optics mount and accessories. Will be ready to mount to the HG but will need all the body work and painting.

The buttstock mag holders could either be done by you or parts supplied and I install for free when the stock is purchased. Will have more details once I figure out how it will actually work.

You guys still interested....??????

I am going to be in for 2 stocks. I would go the side rail AK mount and most likely end up mounting a Kobra on one and a POSP 4x24 on the other M77B. I am going to check around and see if I can find anybody willing to mill some alum. blocks to hold the spare mags in the back of the stock. I am thinking a 1" or 2" tall block that locks the mag in from the front lip, kind of like a backwards Euro mag release. All you need then is a mag sized cavity and a few screws to hold the block in and a simple rocker latch to hold the mag up in the stock, something along the lines of a Volquartsen 10/22 looking latch.

I always thought the top would have a single picatinny rail bolted on, or molded in. Then one could use a riser, or rings. http://w ww.marstar.ca/ac-optics/mounts-riser.shtm

I already have this red dot sight, so I'd probably use it...

There is also a Leapers scope mount that has 30mm rings, plus top and side rails. So one could 4X scope it, have a compact red top on top, and side laser and flash light!!!

I would assume I would Armacoat it, but having Mystic do it in bulk would probably be more economic.

One could make a new barrel given that it is fixed. Barry at could do it, I wager...

You need to start a thread on it in Black and Green rifles. ;)

Yes. Having a half dozen extra mags on the carbine is essential. I would actually like to see the stock space taken up with a hopper style feeding system for the mags. Take a mag, and the rest pop forward, or rearward, or whatever.

Deckard, do not know how to set up a poll. Nice pic by the way. Gives one lots to think about. Very similar to what I had in mine except for the 4 mags. Was only going to put in two as that was the mounting system I had available.

Anybody had the dimensions of the P90? Not just length but like on a blue print.

Start a new thread in Black Rifles.
After you give title and body, click on bottom poll option.

Decide on number of options (ie. Yes, I'd buy that. No, pass = 2)
Submit
Then click on the option that will reveal who votes.
It warns users it is a public poll.
That is your buyer list.

This guy is on CGN as I recall and sells airsoft 90s. He will probably help.

Cross post from a thread I've just started,
And WOW...whats the scoop on that "MysticPlayer P90" stock- this thread seems to have died in Jan 07...

Starter Norc 9mm

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ok, I’ve read all the input on the Norc 9mm’s, but still can’t quite answer my question, sooooo….

I need a starter 9mm for my daughter (‘teens), smallish hands.

Norc NP17, or M77B (though dad wants the NP20, just for the sake of the ‘cool’ factor…), the only two Marstar has in stock currently…

Who can supply some feedback….?

I was asked how I made M77B grips out of wood. I don't have a template as I gave the grips to the owner. The quick answer was trace the existing grips, bandsaw, dremel to contour. Drill carefully for the screw holes. The hardest part is on the inside. You have to get a small cutting tool for the dremel to remove material at the top end. This is for a transfer bar, or something. If you don't, the mechanism gets too tight.

It happens also to be the roughest thing I have ever made. I tried it just to see IF it could be done. The laminate I used was way too rough. Use good wood.
