Norinco NS522 build: NEW MAG RELEASE

Looked at it again and the manual says EM332A which is the same as the old Norinco sold by Marstar. Quick look at the mag and it has a similar groove in the middle albeit this one is curved.

There may be some 10 rounders the will work with your rifles guys.

I don't have my NS anymore but I remember that v groove in the middle which looks similar to that 10 rounder. I have a CZ and it looks much different. I hope it fits and is reasonably priced for all you hard core egg roll boys.

21.95 MSRP for an extra 10rnd mag is a far cry from the 80 odd dollars people want for a 5! The Scorpio would make a great hunting / camp gun. Hopefully it's as light as it looks.

The mags look like they will fit... don't look like CZ mags to me. Can't say I'm a fan of that stock, or the sights on that EM322 type rifle....but for the price I'll give one a go.

Durham Sports has them, I just ordered as they were getting short on mags, so got the rifle and 4 extra Mags, $229. And free shipping is pretty good and $22. Per mag! Should be fairly accurate and I can bed and pillar the stock, maybe foam the butt part to make it a bit more solid etc, the main part it the receiver and bolt are the same as the 522, it will be fairly accurate, good gun to get kids interested ,, looks tacticool ish but has the heart of a target rifle!! Then there are the Mags, please let them fit my 522!!! If anyone has received one please report back here as to whether it fits or not!

I was supposed to get mine today but Canada Post kept it in Mississauga for 4 days, must have liked it, Hitzy got his and says the mags fit his 522!!! He will be tearing it apart this evening i think but says it isn't bad!

I got rid of my first 1 in a trade but felt sad. Just bought another and its bolt is sooo much smoother! hopefully it shoots even better!

I also have the 'biggestpieceof####ebay10-40xscope' to mount on it. if it fails I guess I'll just mount a sweet 4-16 Leapers on it!

Hahaa! NICE.

I have a Leapers 6x24x50 on my Mossberg 640 .22WMR. I am a fan of Leapers stuff from back in my airgun days. I had a few take some stout recoil from a Diana 54 and hold perfect zero. Im not sure how they are these days.

I found one unfired from the EE. I'm in the club now. :)
I'm also a smith and having just broke this gun down it certainly could use some work. I'm impressed with the bolt, tight lockup, fast lock time and easy to disassemble. Trigger needs work and too much take up for me.
The one extractor is seized and soaking in WD-40 for now. Mags were full of some crud and got cleaned out. Stock has a poor fit, but I always float the barrels and bed the stocks. Just makes sense for accuracy and repeat ability.
This one will be getting the full makeover. Trigger work with adjustable sear and over travel set screws.
I think I'll leave the stock finish alone. It doesn't bother me. I'll top this off with a Leupold 6x18 Mark4

Stay tuned for accuracy reports and thanks for this thread. Full of good info.

Oh my!

Sounds like yours was/is pretty rough.

I am looking forward to seeing your trigger work. I like to think of mine as quick and dirty, but effective. I love to see what others think of.

Looking forward to the mods!!!!
