Now you need to start making them while having a beer and watching TV. Slap on EE and make yourself a few bucks (vs blank block). Many of us are not gifted in the mechanical department. Good work BTW. I may decide to give it a try.
 
Let me tell you, I'm mechanically handicapped. :d Proof is the first adapter. :d If I can make one, anybody can make one.
The only reason I have a bunch of extra blocks is because the company charged me a flat fee of $100 for cutting and tool set up :)rolleyes:) regardless if I ordered one or a thousand. So, I'm just trying to sell them to recover my initial cost. However, if somebody wants to take advantage of the pre-cut blocks and has the proper tools to make a small run, I have the raw material.
BTW, I have no intention of derailing the thread. I just wanted to chime in with my home made project.

I might use a fine grit sand paper to polish it but it works great.
I bought a handful of these blocks to save on cutting fee, so I listed them on the EE. Let me know if anyone is interested.

Ordered, thankyou for getting these cut up, it saves me from running around trying to find and cutting them, the files and sander are waiting! Cheers Bob
 
still waiting on my NS522 from canam... looking for a scope for it right now

not too sure about the rail on the ns522... anything special i should know

im looking at a Barska AC10048 Varmint 6.5-20x50 AO Target Dot Riflescope or something not too expensive in the 100-150$ range that will let me see 22 bullet holes on paper a 50yds and 100yds
what rings would you suggest so it fits the rifle nice (low, med high ?) what type ?

I'm not familiar with that specific scope but the 6.5-20x zoom range is excellent for target shooting. Medium rings should be fine for a 50mm lens but remember, the height can be different depending on the manufacturer.
 
I stopped reading at page 20 and started again at 60 so my apologies if this was mentioned somewhere in between.

In regards to pillar bedding, tonight I went with the 1/8" IPS (lamp post) option but the posts won't fit in the holes in the stock unless I drill them larger. I don't really want to do this as the hole closest to the action doesn't have much room to be drilled larger. What did you guys do in this situation?

so I got mine cleaned up and scoped wanted to take to the range and try bone stock before doing anything, outside a couple cheap ammo groups it shot very well right out of the box, my range is only 25yards indoor, so I have no 50 yard groups, and I had no match ammo, mostly bulk stuff, it actually really seems to like blazers as has been mentioned, I think a little tlc and this thing is a big big winner, sorry my pics are so sh1tty



 
Wow, there's so much information in this thread. Thanks father for starting this.

I just received my rifle last week and plan on doing some of the mods that are mentioned over the winter.

But before I can start those mods I need to clean the rifle. What method did you guys use to get that goop off?
