Norinco NS522 build: NEW MAG RELEASE

So, for those who where wondering where I and/or my project went, it was simply on hold... I have done the final matte paint coat and let it dry for a few days before re-assembly and now I felt like showing it off!

I'm on a budget so it's not really well dressed up but I still have fun with it. Got an old Simmons 3x9 on it and a HUGE Harris bipod, would look and fell better with a smaller one but I wasn't to pass on it when my father gave it to me...

Work done:

Stock mod
Barrel free float
Pillars
Light sanding/polishing of trigger assembly components
Changed action screws for new matching ones as the ones that came with it were mismatched and looked like questionnable quality
Added Harris stud to retain both OG sling studs
Gave it a proper plate and got rid of the 12ga buttstock

Thx!

This is the textured paint, makes a terrible mess when applied and takes forever to dry but it's really the finish I was going for.

Well that's nice to hear! Thx!

Only shot it a couple of time and mostly plinking. Will need to make a proper target setup when weather clears up a bit.

Also if you guys have good places to order fiocchi and eley ammo lmk, can't find any locally and didn't have much chance on the net yet. From what I've seen these are some of the brands that seems to give good results. For now all I've tried is federal champion that came with the rifle and some CCI quiet22.

Thanks for the tip, The packing oil used on those guns is among the worst stink ever. I tried rubbing the stock down with lemon Pledge furniture polish to try and make it smell better.
