Norinco NS522 build: NEW MAG RELEASE

Range report , SN522 with safety pin trigger spring ( double loop )

50 yard
Temp 105 degrees F with humidex , 98 defrees F in the shade
Wind , 20 to gusts of 50 + KMPH .

Ammo : Auto Match all groups were 5 shots .

Not the best shooting due to the conditions but when there was a lull in the wind the trigger enabled me to pretty much but one bullet in the same hole as the last , a Light trigger has great potential to shrink the group size if I do my part . One of the best mod's one can do for the cost of a few pennies .

The hard part was the strong wind changing directions as one is trying to shoot , even my small flags at 50 yards only confused me when the bent over and spun around ,,,,

Not sure if it's been mentioned before, you should all try some Aguila Standard Velocity. The subsonic stuff shot pretty average out of my 522. The standard velocity consistently matches Eley out of my gun.

looks like everyone is enjoying the long weekend ,, HAPPY CANADA DAY to ALL !!

Had a chance to do some more testing on my SN522 at 100 yard and 200 yards with some different ammo .

Things started Very badly , the rifle/ scope is sighted at 50 yards , so when I tried the top scope turret to adjust for 100 yards , the turret spun freely , no click . No adjustment GRRRRRRR !!! , I could not let this small detail interrupt my testing so I used some BG ( Best Guess ) I wish I had had a Mil spec in place of the Duplex scope ...

So the groups are far from what they could have been but still they give a representation of what different ammo can do .. Note the new trigger spring really makes a difference in my shooting , thanks Father !

Temp 85 F Humid ex 97 F , light wind from right to left , sunny . ( ya ya I'm not the best shot out there , doing my best , got stop drinking so many coffees in the morning lol )

Black patches were applied to recycle the targets that were left at the Range as shoot and see targets are better at long range for me to see ,, ya I'm not Cheap , I recycle )

You keep calling it an SN522..... it's an NS522, that's all that was, someone trying to correct you.
 
That the trouble in being dyslexic , your right it seem to always reverse the NS and the SN , that you for pointing it out , I often do not even realise when I reverse letters .

You even see I do it on the targets ....... good thing no one at the range knows what kind of rifle I have .

The stock is Awesome and Very Well Done !!!!!!
