Damn Deckard, your disco picture made me laugh.
Canam should stick that picture on every box he ships out; I can see the girls in the post office going WTF??
And for Greentips to buy one confirms to me that this will indeed be an interesting firearm to own.

I am especially interested in learning from other members here what optics would be best suited for this rifle.
Due to the nature of the glasses I wear, I have great difficulty with my 50 plus year old eyes focusing on rear sights. Peep sights are of course better suited for this problem, but I do want to install optics of some sort on this rifle.

Welcome to the bi-focal club.

I purchased a Bushnell Trophy 1x32 T-Dot scope which I have been testing on my SKS. It works pretty well@ 50 meters. Haven't tested it out to 100 meters yet.

It has a bizarre shaped front and rear end and the lens caps are super easy to lose.

I think it will be fine on the T-97.

Well,
I hate to say this, but I had to cancel my order. The truck decided it needed extensive repairs this month. Worth a few Type 97 rifles. Unfortunately transportation takes priority.

Can Am was great when I sent an email explaining why I'd be canceling. Of course I lose my deposit, but I was told it could be put towards a future Can Am purchase. Good stuff.

I'll take another look at the Type 97 when I recover from the Fix Or Repair Daily vehicle. I hope to read some reviews about this rifle when you guys get yours.

I'll be holding onto the Falcon Menace 1.5-5x SIR for a future Type 97 rifle.

Oh well it happens. When a diesel has problems it's expensive. The extended -30 to -45 weather was rough on it. Two new batteries, a new starter, full synthetic oil change etc. After all of that I'm driving and I hear a clunk and notice a silver object rolling along the road. Turns out it was an idle something or rather connected to the belt. Limped the truck to the shop while the power steering was trying to cut out, and the alternator wasn't working. Anyways it's been expensive. I'll check out the Type 97 again in a few months.

Those of you that are getting your Type 97 rifles, make sure to post about them.

Idler pulley. Same thing happened to my Ford Contour SE a few months back. The bearings seize and KABLAMMO!

Good choice. I believe CanAm is also bringing in the IOR 1.1-4x26 CRT Scope CQB, which is very nice.

Keep in mind that you may need a rail extender to get the proper eye relief though, or a LaRue Tactical SPR-S mount. The hand guard and rail(s) are very close to your eye. Its A-OK for red dots and short scopes, not so much for longer optics.

Do you think that 100's of guns might not take some time to put into store inventory and then not to mention the registration, payment processing, packaging, etc before they can ship out. Or do you figure they ship out the same day as they arrive in his warehouse????????????????????????

Lets See

Lets See, say CanadaAmmo gets 250 T97s. every one has to have its serial number checked and inventory paperwork done.
Then the sales paper work.
Call to CFO to check on the buyer (Sorry you ontario people).
Then after OK from CFO packaging and shipping lables.

All in total lets say 15 minutes per, with 4 hours of real work done each day between phones call, lunch and such. That is only 15 to 20 guns per day, getting shipped out. If they are in maybe mine will ship this week.

Dammit Mark, you have just caused "MED" amongst the CGNers.

Griffs dicktionary:
MED; acronym for Mass Erectile Dysfunction

For many, it was the only woody they have had in weeks, and you STOLE it from them. Shame on you! Have you no idea of the high cost of ######?

Don't any of you believe Mark, the T-97's were all shipped on Sunday morning via Poney Express... listen to yonder hoofbeats, methinks me T-97 is arriving.

Damn, false alarm, wrong horse. Does anyone know how to get horse #### off my rug?
