Norinco Type 97 FAQ (small update 01/04/09)

There are several preorders, for various site sponsors. I've signed up myself

Retailers are expecting may 2013 delivery. I believe it is unlikely, as there is no frt number, its not known if a sample rifle has been even submitted to the RCMP lab for testing and approval.

I think maybe summer 2014 the rate at which the RCMP lab works.

i agree i dont know where they get these facts from but as far as im concerned theres no proof a gun has been submitted north sylvia seems to beat around the bush when it comes to questions like these. They have never said a sample is in
 
^ Found one at Canada Ammo for 50-odd bucks, if anyone else was wondering.

Any of you guys planning on running optics? I'm thinking a 1-4X or 1-5X variable magnification, on super low rings.
 
Question for those few who had them..

I plan to put single screw Ta33 on mine but the rail and Ta60 mount would jack this scope to high for sure. I am looking at this set-up with the single hole on the carry handle? Kinda like the AR carry handle style like the below pic..

I`m going with rail and a Browe BSO (yep i know the sight cost as much as the rifle), already have both, just waiting for the rifle. yep it`s going to be high, but I`m used to that with my cz858.

Now just wondering can that ugly front sight be removed? Because it looks like a pile of poop.
