Norinco Type 97 FAQ (small update 01/04/09)

I think the one Canada Ammo has is not the one they show on their site. The one they show is the restricted version. They one they are selling is the one that has the mini-pistol grip ahead of the trigger, like the shorty has but its the full-sized battleweapon.

Personally I prefer the looks of the full sized over the restricted version so this is a plus imo.

DAMN looking at all those photos.....I feel like a 14 year old virgin at a nudie bar.

I can look but I cant have / touch!

:(

PS: If I recal the full sized type 97, the non restricted version, has a 10,000 rd expected life.

The shorty is the 97B, AFAIK. Ours is the "full-sized", but with a little longer barrel:

Hi there, i just want to know if someone have receive this rifle and try it ? Seem to be always out of stock. Thanks.

*sigh* available for 'pre-order' but the guns are essentially stuck with the RCMP being permanently 'inspected'

CanAm is doing all he can to get them released but they're stalled for the consumer.

Norinco has a M4 for $900.00, similar price range.

Considered the AK14 with stamped sheet metal cost around $150.00.
The T97 is expensive.

Wasn't there supposed to be some sort of meeting in Ottawa this month between a few dealers and some political or bureaucratic people? I recall a number of people looking forward to this "sit down" as a potential opportunity to get the T97 and other messes cleaned up.

Am I mistaken?
