North Eastern Arms VZ/CZ Railed Handguard and Muzzle Brake (with pics!)

VERY VERY COOL.:D

This is exactly what I want mine to look like.

Charles Martel - Did you paint through a screen? I can see a bunch of little squares on there

Does it add some extra 'grip factor'?

? you take it off after painting. It just lays across the top.
I did the gun in three coats. My base was light/Tan, then i layed cedar over the tan and painted the green on. when the green dried i layed the tape lightly on the gun and lightly sprayed the black. As soon as i was done spraying i took the dry wall tape off.

haha, sorry i should have been more clear. I realize there is no more tape on there, but Im curious if you can feel the pattern in the paint. If the pattern makes it more grippy :) (no one likes a slippery gun right?)

ahhhhh, no you cant feel the pattern. The coat is put on very light.

Yeah that's a great setup...but I don't feel like forking out for another B&T rail at those jacked up Swiss prices. Awesome project you did there though.

The longer rail on the 19" 858 looks awesome...any way to build one without starting with the B&T to keep costs down?

You get me any type / length of quad rail and I'll probably be able to mount it. It's all just a matter of reshaping the mount (and sometimes the gun).

Now that Jeff's info thread is derailed, I'll try and get it back on track...

I put another 5-800 rnds through his mount and it's still tight. It's a good setup. I had to modify my rail to accept his top, but it's a nice balanced mix right now.

hahahahaha, no worries. Its a pretty cool project. To be honest, the first time i saw it i may have had a little wood..........

the more guys in Canada that are being innovative and bringing project to market the quicker we as Canadians can become self reliant and less dependant on imports from places like the U.S that are slowly cutting us off.

Freshly Painted NEA Parts

Guys I painted this last night Krylon Flat black it has NEA Gen 3 Top Hanguard, NEA Prototype Lower Hand Guard, NEA Krink Brake and Fab plastic accessories.

I see 2 different NEA lower handuards in the last few posts...one with side and bottom rails, and one with only a bottom rail.

Which one is the final product, or are you offering both?

The one with the side rails was an early prototype. The camo'd gun has the final version on it.

Personally, I don't like the lower handguard. I think the short underside rail, lack of side rails, and weird gills kinda kill the overall cohesion of the look.

I would like the option of mounting a stubby grip mid-way, and mounting a TLR-2 on the side rails... This doesn't seem to offer that..... :(

Oh well. Upper hanguard is still coming home with me; it's bloody beautiful.
