Yep, normal... Wish I'd thought of taping mine before inshot it too! A little square of Velcro on that spot works well as a brass protector. Cheers!

Yes your sizing die will fix the neck, and the shoulder (if dent is there) will expand next firing.

I always used a square of the fuzzy side of sticky velcro for all my swiss arms and did on my SG542 as well. Yes, I know, it's supposed to get dinged up, but i preferred them unmolested if possible.
