Will TI be lowering their prices for the SG540, SG542, and SG543 to say a more competitive price of $2650 or lower?

Well FAMAE now has to buy a new heat treatment machine, which means the unit price of the Canadian rifles has shot up to $40,000 per piece.

December is here and it's been 18 months since TI started taking pre-orders for the SG54x rifles. Do you expect delivery of your first batch of rifles this month?

Awesome - just got an e-mail from Nick confirming rifles will arrive tomorrow! It'll be a great Christmas surprise if these shipped on time.

Got my e-mail yesterday. Yah! The good news: extra mags are still cheaper than the competition. The bad news: mag costs have gone up.

So you order something and wait for a year and a half based on the assumption that you are at least saving some money on cost-priced mags and then when it gets here they've changed the agreement? How can they get away with that, or do you mean the price of the mags has gone up for people not in on the preorder?

I was in on the pre-order. Finally wound up cancelling a few weeks ago. I still got the e-mail. Mags, at cost, were supposed to be $70/each. The e-mail I got says $99/each.

No, the price of mags on those on the preorder list is now $99 (at cost apparently). You're right, I'm choked about the approx $35/unit increase (as I want 5-6 extra mags). However, I do know that sh*t happens in this world that is out of our (and the middleman's) control. We can walk away and make a statement (and not get our $2700 rifle--of which the price increase for the mags pales in comparison), and buy the rifle and extra mags for $135/unit at the competitors (and remember, no nitrided barrel either).
Logically, (insert pic of Mr. Spock here:)) it still makes sense to do the $99/unit, provided one still wants the rifle after so long of a wait.

Keep this civil.

77 USD was the original cost, then our price moved up to 82 USD from FAMAE. Combine that with outrageous freight costs and the weakest Canadian dollar in 5 years and yes, our cost is 99 CAD. Expensive mags are a major detriment to purchases, this is really bad for us.
