Getting a shoulder mount ?

I have two full mounts now and a bunch of European mounts (Antlers and skull plate on a plaque). And I live in a small house where my wife has some expectations about where deer heads and dead fish can NOT go, like the living room and the bedroom. To hang a head and shoulder mount you need a fairly high ceiling or you are looking the deer in the eye.

So anyways, before I took the deer to a taxidermist, I contacted my oldest son to see if he would accept from me a large head and shoulders mount of a 12 point buck I shot a number of years ago. Once he said yes, then I had room. :D

Hoooleeee fakcacking sheeeeiiittttee!

I can not believe that is an Ontario buck! Sweet jesus. Tell the truth now..... you were visiting someone in Sask. when you shot that sucker. And I'm not buying the whole "with my bow" BS.

Okay, I do believe the bow part, but Ontario, seriously? Wow.

You can brag all you want, hell you can post a new thread about it every week for the next year if you want. I would!

Rough score? I need to know.

I can not believe that is an Ontario buck!

Ontario holds some massive bucks, the problem is access. The majority of southern Ontario is private property and has over 100,000 hunters. There may be a huge buck near you, but has to be on your 100 acres for you to get it...

The Northwest has probably the largest deer, but most guys won't drive for 24hrs to hunt deer. If you look at some of the threads on here from NWO hunters, they harvest large deer regularly...

hey is that the SOB that laid the hooves to ya while back.if so about time ya got some revenge .
congrats on a very fine critter

Wow! Thats a real barn burner Doug! What did he score? That's gotta be 170-180 class ++ deer.

I actually have no idea what the rack will score, or even whether it would be scored as a typical or non-typical because of the forked brow tines. But when it comes back from the taxidermist, fellow CGNer Rick Teal has agreed to score it for me - or to point to somebody who lives closer who can score it.

I do not think it is a record book buck. He is my personal best for sure, but there are lots of really big racks out there!
