Okay you old 12(6) farts!

I am at the stage where interesting prohibs are all I'm interested in anymore. Not interested in old ones as for the most part the 32's and 25's are just crap (yes there are exceptions). Now I m mostly looking for modern good quality prohibs like snubs or compact semi's. The last ones on my list are a 3" 629 (I have the 44 special) and an officers model in 45. I see there are 2 up on the EE right now, but since I just spent 4k on the dog this month and am waiting for an unfired S&W 66 snub in the mail they will have to wait for a bit. I have never been inspected and don't expect to be, and over 40 years of handgun collecting have had as many as 50 handguns at any given time (I have pared that down considerably) but you usually get inspected if you have done something else to attract the authorities attention. I have never known someone to get inspected just because they own a certain amount of guns, and if you do attract their attention (if it's serious) for some other reason they absolutely will inspect you even if you only have one gun

Well ! look like the old fart was a good guy this year cause Santa got me a nice Sig P225 and a Gen 2.5 Glock 26. (yeah i know he's early this year !)

Sadly, I'm looking to use proibs as the basis for custom non-prohib builds.
I have a 19-1 S&W that is pretty rare (around $1000 US or so in the blue books); however, it is easier for me to do something wacky than export it for its true market value. Is this how bubba was born?

Just waiting for my son's rpal to show up so I can Pass along a 12.7 PPK .32acp. Being he is 18 there will be at least one 12.6 around for a while . Also have a 16 yr old and 12 yr old that will get the same deal.

Back before all this 12.whatevever foolishness started I was 18, had my restricted licence or whatever it was called at the time and was shopping for .22 pistols. I was torn between a S&W 422 in 4" or 6". I went with the 6" but should have gone with the former as I would have been one of the younger people to have a 12.6 license. I'm 42 now.

I suppose I would be the fella at the end of it all with a boatload of prohibs and no one to give them to. :(

No it's OK....

..................We like to share ;)

Speaking of that.... Here's a clean one that came my way earlier this year...... S&W Model 18 [K frame] 4" brl in .22 lr.

Had one many yrs ago [not as nice shape] but still regretted selling it. Jumped at this one when it came up in the EE early in 2014.

I just saw this old post is up again and found one directed at me about been inspected, the reason for that is I am a dealer and this is the 2nd visit in the last 25 or so years
, I don't find that a big deal
Marshall
You were inspected and most restricted firearm owners with fewer that 10 registered guns are never inspected unless there's been a theft or they're registered collectors and have signed the waiver form.
Obviously that's a difference.
I don't want the cops or the CFO inspectors in my home EVER.
Am I paranoid?
Fracken right I am considering the RCMP/CFC seige on gun owners that's been going on since c68 became law in 1995.

12(6) is fun....ever see how quickly a baby browning disappears in your hand? Dang, those things are SMALL.
