Saw a doe from my treestand yesterday, as she approached I wanted her to cross a stream so I wouldn't get wet feet getting her out. Instead she bedded in some thick stuff for 30 minutes. All I could see was her head as she kept eyeballing me and smelling the air. Finally she stood and gave me a shot. My boots are soaked from fording the stream but we won't starve this winter. One more tag to go, hopefully the cooler weather this weekend will bring a big old buck out.Went for a sit today. Had a doe at 50 yards for 10 mins, but she busted me and never gave a shot. Squirrel rut seems to be on lol
