Ontario Transfer Wait Times?

Just did a private transfer. One week. Ontario. Never had a problem, never considered contacting my MP or MPP. I've waited just as long for my Drivers License applied for on line. People need to follow the procedure and take a pill. Or eat a chicken, the sky ain't falling.

You do realize drivers licences can be same day in person, passports can be 24 hour rushed. 10 days isn't bad for a pal but it could be much better. And as for taking a pill? I'm glad there's people out there that applaud mediocrity.

Good friend of mine received RPAL in the mail yesterday and bought and has procession of 4 restricted firearms same day. Yes same day registered and transferred Ontario retail to Ontario.

YMMV is the saying of the day... my last transfer went through in 4 days..... this latest one is going on 3 weeks now, Ottawa retailer to me in Ottawa...... patience is really a virtue I guess....

Here is an interesting tidbit. I initiated the importation of a firearm late July from the USA through IRUNGUNs. The interesting part is I've already received the FRC but I haven't received the pistol yet.

There is no rhyme or reason to these wait times. I initiated two transfers on the same day. The one I was the seller on was done in just under 2 weeks and the other one that I'm buying is going on three weeks and still not approved.

Ya, I can believe that. Destination province CFO is the one that approves. 3 days max, usually less, sometimes same day.

My last transfer was 2 weeks from "order processing" to "order shipped" in ONT. I think it's gotten a little better from a few months ago. I had a couple friends that theirs took approx 4-5 weeks each around April/may

That's encouraging.. I'm waiting on one I bought on the 26th (a Saturday). We'll see how it goes

Bought a new pistol in BC, live in Ontario; 3 weeks. Sold a pistol to a guy in our club, lives in the same city; 4 weeks and not a word yet.
