Ontario Transfer Wait Times?

OK boys and girls the transfer was started on Monday I was notified today it was cleared. I’ll call it 72hrs I think that is a record under current circumstances. I hope the rest of you can get in on some of this good luck.

And you're on Ontario resident RECEIVING a firearm? I've had some one day transfers, but they were for products going outside of the province.

Transfer started April 09. told by operator 4 weeks....time will tell

Transfer came in Friday May 11 Total times=Initiated April 9, Approved May 11, 4 weeks and 4 days. from Quebec to Ontario. Sad part is that it was with the Ontario CFO since at least April 18. I'm assuming it was there by the end of the first week. Assumptions aside,

1 week and 1 day with Quebec CFO and

3 weeks and 2 days with Ontario CFO

They are definitely leaving some of the transfers sitting on the desks. Totally random on what order they are doing them in, and I am quite sure (after talking with at least 4 of them over the past few years), that they have absolutely ZERO ####s to give if you don't like how they're doing it. They may have had some ####s at one time, but they have used them up or had them taken, and they are left with exactly ZERO.

:sigh: Coming up on 4 weeks for my last one, buddy bought his from the same guy 2 days after I did and he got his transfer last week. He thinks it's hilarious. Sends me ###y-time-pics of his gun in compromising positions at least once a day.

Thought I'd chime in too..2 private transfers initiated May 15 at 0930, approved May 16 0925, almost 24 hours on the dot in ON. So it can be done..

Dealer buy or private transfer ? Makes a difference. It shouldn’t, but it does.

Mine was a dealer buy on June 5. The one prior at the end of April was 24 hours.

Perhaps call the CFO's office to make sure the transfer was in fact started. It wouldn't be the first time a dealer has let one fall through the cracks.
